I wasn't born in the U.S. but I came at an early age so I was pretty americanized as opposed to my family. I was in my country of birth and walking down a dark dirt road when I saw an older woman walking. We are a trusting people who like company so I ran to catch up to her. I couldn't catch up even though I was running and she was walking very slowly. Second of all, the cheese is not spread out (the italians used mozzarella slices rather than shredded). third, there is little to no cheese, seriously, on a large pizza, there would be a clump of cheese in the middle no bigger than your palm. Fourth, the bread!!!! It MUST be burnt, authentic italian pizza needs to be flaming when it comes out of the oven, just imagine a potato chip and ur sorta close. I kno tat most of u want to go to italy and bite ur teeth in an upgraded version of dominoes, but...srry, been to italy 4 times, hasnt changed much (except the burnt part, eating charred foods give u cancer). If u want "americanized" yet near authentic, i recommend austria, it resembles american pizza yet u still get an authentic taste.
