I thought it was very, very good, and the effects and makeup were fantastic. But, it seemed almost like a retelling of Forest Gump- Did you get that feeling? I mean they both had an innocent, good-hearted main character with a condition, a love interest that kept coming in and out, and the main character traveling and affecting all the people he met. I found it incredibly touching, and very well made, but I also saw some places where I would say it was heavy-handed in its production (a subtler message might have worked better for me, I mean). Apparently it is about a man who is born old and ages backwards. Meaning everyone around him gets older and he keeps getting younger. And it is a love story as well. This looks like it will be an interesting story line and I really want to go see it. Unfortunately it will not be out until December 2008. Also, it has his beautiful daughter Shiloh in her first acting role onscreen too. Anyways, I am really looking forward to it. Have you guys heard of it yet and if you have - have you heard if it is a good movie or a waste of money? When we arrived the only film that we could get in to see was Notes on a Scandal, a film based on the book by Zoe Heller. Although the plot is controversial, a married teacher becomes involved with a 15 year old student, I personally found the on going storline between Sheba and Barbara to be of a more sinister nature. The way Barbara wove herself into Sheba's life, and her character in general, really chilled my blood. Although the film was excellent, I actually found it more disturbing than some of the recent attempts at horror films. I wont give the storyline away as it may spoil it for any of you that intend to see it. But for those of you who have seen it, what did you think of the film? My husband didn't like it. He called it one of my movies, because I always seem to pick the weirdest movies to watch! He likes the action packed movies...not the turn the volume up so you can hear it and read subtitles movies! I'm not usually a subtitle movie watcher either, but this movie was worth it. Yes, it's slow and yes you have to be paying attention to get it...because it scatters the situations all over the place and jumps back and forth, sort of like a soap opera. But I believe it be easy to pick up and keep up with. For me, it definitely made me think about my views on other countries and also made me think about the country I live in. I don't want to say anymore for those that haven't seen it. So on a 5 star scale, I give it 3 1/2.
