Like in my case, I was on my way home last night when I passed by a coffee shop, the aroma of coffee, and mocha, and hot choco filling my nostrils. But then, I could only sigh because my stomach can't tolerate coffee anymore.

I have a stomach ulcer which tends to go on an "attack" when I drink coffee, or chocolate, or colas.

Do you skip on things you wanna eat or drink because your health or other circumstances prohibit you too?

tea vs coffee ?

i prefer tea over coffee not because of the caffeine, i have always liked tea more

They were removed and explained to Qin Yuan that his snoring had sucked his teeth down his throat.

He now promises to remove them before going to bed!!

Its a strange but funny story!! Luckily, all ended well!!

Blackout

Hi friends I am not talking of the ‘black out’ that we face due to power failures, it is one I faced on the evening two days back. Due to this I could not log in to mylot to see you all. I missed all my friends here who respond to my discussions regularly and I also could not comment on the responses to my discussions too.
I have ‘tachycardia’ this is nothing but abnormally rapid heartbeat (over 100 beats per minute). That evening while watching TV I felt as if something happened inside me, the ‘internal’ power failed, everything became dark and I lost sense for a few minutes, how long I can’t say. But I regained sense automatically. I didn’t tell anything to my wife or son etc, lest they will be worried. Went to the private hospital, where I work part time as a consultant in ‘pain management’, applying PMF (Pulsed Magnetic Field) and steady magnetic fields. I also give my reports on the Ultra sound scans. I am having a PG diploma in magneto therapy and a Ph.D. in ultrasonic. My colleagues there made a thorough examination, ECG, brain scan, full body scan, tread mill test etc found nothing wrong, except a rise in my blood sugar level.
Then why was this sudden black out? I am happy, the power was restored by the Almighty, and I am alive to share the story to you all. The doctors said, ‘some times’ such things do happen, for ‘no’ ‘apparent’ reasons.
Yes, I agree many things do happen, that science can’t explain. Scientists are still unable to explain fully the behavior of the simplest of all atoms, the hydrogen atom, which contains just one electron and one proton; what to speak of other atoms and molecules. I am ok, but feeling exhausted and pain all over body, I have been advised rest. I shall post 4-5 posts only.
Anybody here, who has experienced such ‘black out’, any idea about this? Please share.

How will you know if you have heart attack and what to do?

If you are alone and if you have symptoms of chest pain that radiates to your arm and up to your jaw, it is a HEART ATTACK. If no one can help you and the hospital is far from you, you have to help yourself and do the following:

1. cough repeatedly and vigorously
2. take deep breathe before every cough

Deep breaths gets oxygen to the lungs, coughing keeps blood circulation alive.

I am also having mild Chest pains at times with the headaches as well. I have already been to another Doctor who thought these were Migraines, and so he prescribed something for Migraines and I thought this might be the answer maybe, but the headaches are actually getting worse instead of better.

I have been suspecting these and the Chest pains are caused due to the Insulin I am taking, and this is why I am going in and seeing my Doctor. I have a feeling it is the Lantus as my headache last night and the Chest pains got a lot worse within 2 hrs. of taking the Lantus. So now I am wondering what they will consider next, and I am thinking here it goes again... A Diabetes medication is giving me troubles. I am so succeptable to Colds, etc. and really try to take care of myself the best I can.

So if anyone here is a Praying person, Prayers are appreciated as well as advice what I might consider. I will keep you all informed on what I find out, and the choices my doctor suggests for me from here.

Do you take notice of aches and pains in your body ?

For the past couple of weeks now I have been suffering pains in my chest. I put this down to stress, but now the pains seem to be spreading to my left arm as well. I'm not the type of person who panics at the least little ache or pain and don't like to troule my doctor for trivial things, but these pains are getting more troublesome.

Do you go to the doctor for aches and pains or do you try to ignore them ?

Do you experience chest pains or pains in the left side of your chest?

I sometimes get chest pains or pains on the left side of my chest and they sometimes vary in location and in intensity. I wonder if any fibromyalgia patients experience that and what do you do? I had my heart checked - EKG, holter, blood tests, echocardiogram etc and everything is normal so I cant help but think this is more of like a muscular pain brought by fibromyalgia. Any thoughts or personal experience?

health

What are some causes for chest pain after waking up?
