Many of them choose to carry on and keep working through these difficult times. Barbara Taylor Brown was one who chose to leave the church rather than to go under. She was admittedly a workaholic, but nevertheless found that the stress of being at the beck and call of all and sundry just began to swamp her. She wrote a book, Leaving Church, which I read and reviewed earlier this year.

The Imam agreed. In due time the Imam came to the home of the poor man.The man served the Imam fine rice and goat meat curry. Then the Imam asked the poor man how you have managed the goat. You are a poor man, you have no sufficient money to buy a goat. The poor man replied,I stole it. The Imam said I can't eat the stolen goat meat. Give me other item if you have prepared. Then the man served the Imam soup prepared with small pieces of goat meat. The man poured the soup on the plate of the Imam. Then some pieces of meat fell to the Imam's plate. The poor man beg pardon and tried to pick up the pieces of meats from the plate. Then the Imam said, don't do that. Which comes
automatically is legal. You don't have to worry.

Preplanned, Prepaid, Funerals, Anyone?

About 10 years ago my wife and I contacted our local Funeral Home, with regard to Prepaid Funerals. About this time we were updating our Wills, and decided to Preplan and Prepay our funerals at same time. Presently most funerals cost between 5 and $10,000 each. We were able to arrange both of ours for a total under $3,000.00. We opted for Cremations. We are not into organized religion, and did not require the services of the Clergy, or Funeral Home. We did not require a Casket, just a cardboard box, and a plastic urn for the ashes. There will be no service of any sort. No prayers for our souls, and hopefully no tears. Instead there will be a Family Gathering to Celebrate our Lives, with plenty of food and drink. At this time I have requested my ashes be flushed down the toilet, (into a Septic Tank)
Can you think of anything we have left undone, or unfinished? (I write this post as if we were to die together. I did it this way for convenience)

Clerical marriage - THE MOST DIVISIVE ASPECT

The Roman Catholic Church norms do not allow clerical marriage of any sort. It is considered that clergy is married to the Church, as Christ was.

The Eastern Orthodox Churches allow clerical marriage for priests, but forbids it for nuns and brothers. In fact, in order to be ordained as a priest, the man should first marry.

Protestant Christian Church allow clerical marriage.

What are your thoughts on this issue? How are the things in your religion?

I've been ordained!

That's right! I've just been ordained as clergy in the Church of Spiritual Humanism. It was really easy, and I really like what the church stands for. Now, I need to mylot my way towards paying for my official ID card so when I go around marrying people and performing baptisms I don't get arrested.

Can I marry you? Renew your vows? Christen your child? I only use my powers for good, not evil, so no curses. (Unless you want to pay extra)

Many of them had various parts of their undergarments visible. Bra straps, slips, and if I squinted really hard I could detect panty lines.

I find this very distracting, especially when communion is served and there is a lot of kneeling, bending, ups and downs.

Do you struggle with these sorts of distractions and how do you deal with them?

Giving money when receiving the Sacraments of the Holy Catholic Church

I did not feel the need to give any money to the Priest for baptizing my children. It is a Sacrament of the Church.
Perhaps I am way off base here but I feel it almost diminishes the sanctity of the occasion to pay the Priest.
I give to the Church what I can and when I can.
I do not think that Sacraments should include any money changing hands between the parishioner and the Priest. Somehow that seems wrong to me.
How do other mylotters and especially Catholic mylotters feel about this issue?

Women In The Pulpit.

As the case with most controversial issues, there's a broad spetrum of views when it comes to women in ministry.
