Do you care?

Our neighborhood has 2 of them and although we normally go to BEST BUY it still will be noticeable to me because we pass it by at least once or twice a week. When were shopping for electronics we always go to Best Buy and then Circuit City to compare prices.

But man, what about all the people left: 30,000 employees out of a job TODAY!

George Whalin, president and CEO of Retail Management Consultants said,

"This is very significant. It shows you how bad things are for the the retail industry,"

This company made massive mistakes," he said, citing a decision to get rid of sales people and other mismanagement

Ouch. Im sure many retailers lost sight of the value of their employees and just immediately started cutting people.

Will this affect your day to day routine? Will you buy somewhere else?

Do you have family employed by them? I find that irritating because it's a technology abuse. I mean why would someone want to buy a computer to play games if they can always buy a play station or an X-box. Besides, computers are far more expensive if you plan to play games. Does anyone think that it's a little ridiculus to pay $1000 to buy a computer to play games while you can pay a lot less to buy a play station and a computer?

Power Supply Unit

I need to replace this part. It seems really fun even if I hear it from a lot of people that it is very tiring to get into that business. Since you have to get up really early for the preparations and everything else.

Have you heard the news? How many of these stores are in your area? There are really none near me in South Florida, but I will bet you that it will be coming if the economy does not improve soon. What is sad is all of those people who will now be losing their jobs.

Best Buy always did have better prices and better customer service than Circuit City but I do hate to see them go. I just bought 3 computers from them last year.
