Saying this is a sign of appreciation for the good deed that someone did to us. But sometimes by simply saying
"thank you" is not enough because we want to show more to that person how much we appreciate his good deed. Here are specific ways to say thank you.
1. Make a handwritten note. You'll never know how this simple thing can make someone's day.
2. Send an electronic thank you email card.
3. Make a handmade thank you card. Personalize it for fun.
4. Give a flower or a basket of fresh fruits.
5. Do an errand for that person.
These are just a few that I have done already to show appreciation. What about you? How do you show your gratitude? Share your creative ways of thanking people.

Make Extra Money in Creative Ways

Inspire by Enchanted (2007), I found out a way that we could earn lots of money... in the future. I'm not sure whether my way of earning big money make any sense or not, but I think it'll work, of course in the future. This ways of earning money are certainly suitable for all ages.
So, what you have to do now is buy a bunch of trading cards, place them in a time capsule, hide it some way where no one can sees it. My concept is that, those trading cards might worth a fortune in the future. What I see in Enchanted, is where there was a part of the story in which two black man and woman were quarelling, over just a baseball card. Imagine how much those baseball cards worth these days.
I, myself have collected about a thousand of Pokemon trading cards, original, and they are the first version, which is unusable now(2008), they might worth a lot... in the future.

Advice- (creative) way to detach daughter from her blankie?

My daughter is 4 1/2, and is going to be starting kindergarten this fall. My husband and I have been on her already to stop sucking her thumb (asking her to stop when we see her doing it), but we also are trying to figure out how rid her of this blankie she's had for some time now. I don't want to just rip it out of her arms and throw it in the trash, though. She's very sensitive- heck, today she was screaming bloody murder because she dropped a Polly Pocket shoe into a crevice of her doll house. LOL

Do you know of (or have you heard of) any neat ways to maybe use a part of a baby blankie, where she could still have a piece of it, but not be able to carry it around and look like a "baby"? I'd like to give her some choices, so she can be a part of what happens to it. Like making a pillow out of it or something. Any good suggestions?

Why do you stick with myLot

I enjoy this site and I love the discussions.
