How has the credit crunch really hit you? Are you currently unemployed?Do you believe that the economic recession is almost over especially in USA?

I believe the worst is over and gradually the picture will now improve.Latest figures seem to suggest that the rate of "jobs lost" is decreasing and consumer spending is beginning to increase. Some countries like Germany,France and Australia have even indicated that they are officially out of the recession.

So what is your take on this?Lets have some opinions and first hand experiences.

I believe it is wrong that honest decent people should lose their jobs
and have their houses repossessed due to greedy bankers flooding the financial market with toxic debt.
I see this as immoral and obscene.
If the credit crunch has hurt you please have a look at my blog

You can choose a bag, most have onions/carrots/parsnips and then a swede/ caddage/cauliflower/leeks. Its just the veggies that are a bit worn out, but hey they make lovely cheap wholesome soup or you can throw them in a casserole.

They also have a 50 pence section where I have got good tomatoes/ peppers etc.

So its worth going to visit your farm shops, cheaper than the supermarket, less air miles for the food etc.

Countries whose citizens depend heavily on credit are poor countires.

Last night I met a guy through a friend of mine and he has this view that countries whose citizens depend heavily credit (credit cards) to survive are really poor countries and are vulnerable to the crisis such as we are now faced with globally.

I think he has a point. Look at prosperous countries such as the US where many citizens who were once living comfortably are now facing treats of losing their homes and other possessions including bank accounts.

I have always avoided taking out a credit card and just spend what I have wisely trying at all times to ensure that I stay debt free. I have been told that it is harder to live in the US, Canada or the Uk without using credit cards as well as the benefits of having a good credit rate.

My friends and some family members in the States, UK and Canada usually speak about using their credit cards to get stuff or to pay bills and about maxing out a credit card. Granted they are not careless spenders and have done well but there are those persons who are always indebted.

If the financial crisis found anyone with huge credit debts then it will no doubt leave them much poorer than they were before.

What are your views?

Would you say in hindsight that countries such as these are really poor countries because of the financial position of many its citizens in this crunch? I do not recall clearly but I do beleive that one of the past US presidents tried to promote agriculture and the ability of the US to feed itself as its true wealth.

I would like to get some insightful comments on these points and not just emotional thoughts. I think my country is poorer for not paying more attention to our agricultural sector but opted to spend billions of dollars importing food stuff we could produce locally or do without all together and for not building key industries.

Does the greed to be fed rather than to work to feed onesself (develop adequate food supply for the nation) not leave a country, family, individual more vulnerable to certain collapse?

How much is the economic crisis/credit crunch affecting you?

I have to ask this. I am in the north west of England and a lot of people I know are really suffering at the moment and in turn so am I.

I am a mobile hairdresser and work has seriously wained over the last couple of months due to households where someone has been made redundant or people just can't afford the luxury of having their hair done. Haircuts after all are a luxury rather than a necessity so it's one of the first things people are cutting back on.

My husband works in haulage and he is massively effected because his work is normally heavily overtime based but at the moment there just isn't any overtime to be had.

We're lucky in that we are still able to get by but we haven't bought new clothes for ourselves or our 2 and 3 year old kids for over a year. I am relying on hand me downs etc. I have also begun to buy seasonal local food produce and am cooking from scratch to save on food bills...it's healthier and more nutritious anyways.

How is the credit crunch affecting you and what changes are you making in your life? x

Lack of Inspiration

Lately i havent really been doing much on Mylot. Major Cook has filed a lawsuit against Barack Obama in regurd to he took a oath to uphold the United States Constitution and not to uphold any person.
Do you think a United States solider should blindly obey the orders of Barack Obama who has been unwilling for over one yea to prove he is a citizen of the United States of American or should a solider uphold his/her oath to the United States Constitution?

http://www.ledger-enquirer.com/news/story/776335.html

U.S. Army Maj. Stefan Frederick Cook, set to deploy to Afghanistan, says he shouldn’t have to go.
Cook’s lawyer, Orly Taitz, who has also challenged the legitimacy of Obama’s presidency in other courts, filed a request last week in federal court seeking a temporary restraining order and status as a conscientious objector for his client.

In the 20-page document — filed July 8 with the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Georgia — the California-based Taitz asks the court to consider granting his client’s request based upon Cook’s belief that Obama is not a natural-born citizen of the United States and is therefore ineligible to serve as commander-in-chief of the U.S. Armed Forces.

Cook further states he “would be acting in violation of international law by engaging in military actions outside the United States under this President’s command. ... simultaneously subjecting himself to possible prosecution as a war criminal by the faithful execution of these duties.”

Cook, a reservist, received the orders mobilizing him to active duty on June 9.

According to this document, which accompanies Cook’s July 8 application for a temporary restraining order, he has been ordered to report to MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa, Fla., on Wednesday. From there, the Florida resident would go to Fort Benning before deploying overseas.
A hearing to discuss Cook’s requests will take place in federal court here Thursday July 16,2009 at 9:30 a.m.
