I have distributed all the books yesterday in my neighbourhood but i still have got no response.A Am feeling so diasppointed and really dont know whgat to do. I am sure many of you here must be in selling Avon .How is it going for you??.Please send me some tips to lift up my sales.How was it in the start does it take time for one to get orders??.Within how many days after posting your books does one get the response??I am feeling so disappointed .This is turning me to tears. Also one is going to be 25 miles away from the other, I think. I have to have my calendar in by March 30 for April and taht is the first day of my Census Job. Normally we have to have it in by the Thursday or Friday just before the first Saturday which would have given me more time to get to know the Census job and figure it out. My Demo job said that my sales are below $2,000 and if not more than that, will lose one weekend day anyway. So I think only one day on the weekend will be a problem since I can't seem to get sales above the mark or even one new customer per hour. I love that job, meeting people and animals, but I think they're going to let me go soon anyway.However, the Census job is only 5 to 13 weeks, so I hate to burn any bridges. I guess I'll just wait and see on March 30th if doing both is possible and if now, I will see how much time before I can give notice. If I have to give one month notice and the job is only 5 weeks, doesn't pay to give notice. But if they're going to let me go anyway and the other job is 13 weeks,.... Hard to know what to do. Everybody wanted a book,hardly anybody wanted to buy without demos,any samples,one of every color please!The list went on and on.You had to have a order in every 2 weeks to stay in the game.I was my best customer because I had to pay out more than I made because of the demos,books,samples etc.Anybody else in this boat or anybody else sink the boat like I did? My favorite site is gametrailers.com. IGN got some good stuff, but I suggest gametrailers. They get a lot of exclusives and they also have a gametrailer dollars system. They do good review that are pretty good at being none biased. They also have a great systems that allow you to track game media from upcoming games. So if you want to know about say the upcoming Alone In The Dark you tell it to track and whenever there is new media you will get notice. Are you aware that most demonstators are independent contractors not employed by the establishment in which they are working? Are you the sampler who goes to the table over and over again? Do you steal samples off the table when the demonstator is distracted or not looking? Do you make rude comments, or out of turn remarks to demonstrators? What kind of sampler are you? And the more they do demostrations the more they sell. The poor gal I got was allergic to cats (I ahve one) Smokie didn't like the vacuum cleaner and stayed out of sight, but while vacuuming all the dust and everything else was being stirred up, and she was sneezing, so I gave her a claritin for here, and a benydryl for the road...... But there is no way on this green earth that anyone is going to give me financing with our credit, but I met a great person from the area I moved from, and she is getting me in touch with a friend who is just starting homeschooling. But how I wished I could have bought one, they were good and looked sturdy. and built to last. Do you ever get something for watching a demonstration? Well, this past weekend I was one of those demo ladies and I couldn't believe how rude some people are. I was offering to taste green and white tea. It was amazing to me how many people just ignored me when I asked them if they would like to try it. If they didn't want to taste it all they had to do is say 'no thanks'. Try to remember that these demo people are hired to give away so many samples. I found it very exhausting and I thought it would be a fun job.
