DELETE IT. even if it is from someone you know and especially if you don't know who it is from, DELETE IT. fanbox uses phishing and will phish out your password and send email to your friends. fanbox use to be an sms site but was "ferreted out." so they changed their name to fanbox. fanbox will send unending spam. i've tried different methods to stop it and nothing has worked so far. AVOID FANBOX. Of course I didn't but I think because I clicked on the link to view that comment, I have been getting friend requests and comments just about every day since..Now this friend, I had helped her set up a myspace account and yet she never goes there, but she still sends me things, like the most recent was a "martini" which I guess was like the apps on myspace or a comment or something.. I have never seen a network where strangers can contact you even when you don't sign up.
