We give pillow to children so adults are sleeping without pillow. I was able to sleep that night, but the next morning I woke up with cramped in my neck and back... auchhh!

Even though I love to sleep with a flat pillow, sleeping without a pillow definitely not good for me.

Can you sleep without a pillow or cushion? Do you think it's good to sleep without a pillow (some people says it good for your health)?

Politics aside... Is Obama's life-story inspirational to you?

For just a moment, put his politics aside whether you agree or disagree.
After listening to the schoolkids speech yesterday, I wondered if we could agree taht Obama's life story of making it to Harvard, putting in years of community work then his meteoric rise in politics is in some ways inspirational, an American success story.

What do YOU think?

I'd Piss on Your Diploma if you were "educated" at any of these "schools".

While most of the people of the US support our troops and are grateful for what we do, there are still pockets of ivory tower elitists who carry on the tradition of spitting on US servicemembers past, present and future.

I'm talking about the rotting weeds the infest the Ivy League. As usual, not every member of any group is guilty of the bigotry and close-mindedness of others, so I won't paint all Ivy League schools with the same hemlock brush.

I will name the Ivy Hall of disdain and shame...

Brown University (Providence, RI)
Columbia University (New York, NY)
Harvard University (Cambridge, MA)
Stanford University, Palo Alto, CA)
Tufts University (Medford/Somerville, MA)
University of Chicago (Chicago, IL)
Yale University (New Haven, CT)

These "schools" are a pox on higher education. They hide behind freedom and rights, but consider it "beneath" them to defend those rights. Defending our nation is something for mere mortals to accomplish. Freedom is somehow their "birthright" because some admissions board annointed their heads, and closed their minds.

While other schools are turning out the military leaders of tomorrow, these schools BAN any sort of military presence from their cesspool campi. If there is so much as a hint of military presence in their putrid existance, they let off a string of obscenities just to make sure the person knows how they feel.

As far as I'm concerned, no college that rejects ROTC programs and/or military recuiters on campus deserve a dime of federal or state funding... not for research, not for tuition, not even for an on campus post office.

Let the very foundations of these vast wastelands of wasted energy rot as they sink into the bogs of the disgraceful pits they are.

If I did the hiring for a company, first of all, I would never recruit from the brackish depths of their stench. If some alum of one of these schools were so fool hearty as to approach me for employment, I would drop trow and piss all over the pollution that is their diploma.

http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/US/Story?id=8209937&page=1

Up to now, I didn't really feel too passionately about the situation and chalked it up to an unfortunate misunderstanding; but now I feel a sense of shame before the world. This whole situation has gotten blown out of proportion. How do we recover from this stripe of shame concerning these two, supposedly, men acting out like children before the whole world? What have we learned about ourselves as individuals? What have we taught our children? And, finally, will we ever grow up?

The whole situation is just SAD and proves that our words can hurt. Do you use words to hurt others? If so, do you ever feel ashamed?

What Should Prof. Gates, Prs. Obama & Sgt. Crowley Learn from the "Beer Summit"?

Prs. Obama described the meeting at the Whitehouse between himself, Prof. Gates and Sgt. Crawley as a "learning Moment". So I thought it would be interesting to have a "beer summit" of our own here at MyLot.

First of all, apparently the brand of beer is important; the incompetent press seemed to think so anyway. Prs. Obama had a Bud Light, Blue Moon was Crowley's choice and contrary to press speculation about a Red Stripe, Gates drank a Samuel Adams Light. Apparently, VP Biden was there too, he chose a non-alcoholic beer, Buckler.

So, since this is a "Beer Summit", start with your beer order, then continue with your comments.

My order would be both my favorite beers... "A & W".

Pleasantries being taken care of, here's what I think each person should take from this "teaching moment".

Prs. Obama: He should learn that openly admitting that he doesn't know the facts, then going on to make a judgement about how those involved acted was a pretty boneheaded thing to do. He should take the lesson that the race of the participants doesn't equate to who acted wisely and who acted stupidly.

He should also apologize for his completely racist reaction to the incident.

Prof. Gates: After all was said and done, and restated, and rehashed over and over in the incompetent press; and finally the evidence was examined. Prof. Gates should take a lesson that a cop asking for proof that a person lives in a residence isn't a personal (or racial) attack.

Since the cops were leaving when the professor went into his tyrade, he should also learn that his temper isn't an excuse for being a racist blowhard.

Nothing the White, Hispanic and Black cops did that evening could be construed by any rational person as racist.. but the professor played the race card anyway. Not only did he play the race card, he played the whining boob card also.

One has to wonder something here... if a White Harvard Professor made the papers treating a Black policemen like that, would he still have a job?

Sgt. Crowley: Let's see, there was what's his name (the Black cop), and hmmm, yeah, the hispanic cop, and Sgt Crowley. What Sgt. Crowley should learn from this whole thing is that, if a Black professor whines on and on with trumped up lies of racism, the one White cop's name will become a household word.

If the professor came home to find the same 3 cops at his house, arresting an intruder... the one Black cop would be the hero in the papers.

The only thing Crowley did wrong was, he injured the poor professor's over-bloated ego.

I, of course, would never take towels, or anything like that - but I do take any of the complimentary items that they supplied for me to use during my stay. My husband is getting used to it now, but at first he thought it was weird of me to take home what I did not use while I was there. I've never thought anything about it. I figure that I paid for it, and they put it there for me to use anyway. So, I just want to know how many other people do the same thing.
