To be honest I could not see my self picking a favorite, despite the 'newness' of supernatural.

I adore anything Joss Whedon makes, but Buffy will always have a place in my favorites section above most of his other works.

Supernatural... it just gets me.. it has so much I enjoy in the genre, even if a few things piss me off 'The pagan gods always being evil monsters crap for the most part.'

Beyond that.. I generally love that show.

I am interested in your thoughts.

V - the visitors

I was watching Flashforward and saw the preview for V. I did a little research on wikipedia and I am very excited about the tv show. I think the idea behind this show has a lot of potential. Anyone have any more information about the plot?

Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog

Hello fellow myLotters. I was just wondering if any of you have seen Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog, and if so what your opinions are.

You can watch it on Hulu for free, actually:
http://www.hulu.com/watch/28343/dr-horribles-sing-along-blog

It's composed of three Acts, and it's sort of a musical. Very entertaining stuff there, haha. If you like musicals you'll probably like it. Even if you don't you may still like it though - I've had friends who aren't really into musicals who enjoyed it.

Anyways, opinions? : D

you know you've watched Firefly one too many times...

when you start cursing in Mandarin, lol.
I found a site that translated all the Chinese they use in the show/movie so I could add them into a fanfic I was writing. Some of the phrases were hilarious (they mostly aren't curses, just really funny stuff).
I was practicing saying some of the actual curse words and later that night I accidentally screwed up something I was doing and started laughing when I cursed in Chinese instead of English. My husband now thinks I'm completely insane.
I also knit me a "Jayne hat" in honor of the "Hero of Canton". I'm such a dork.

Dollhouse on Fox

It was an utter disappointment to me. I'll give it 2 more episodes to decide if I'll continue watching it or drop it altogether.

As far as mind wipes and implanted personalities go, My Own Worst Enemy was better and more believable.

Has anyone else watched it?
What do you think of it?
Will you keep watching it?

doll house

Have you watched the dollhouse?

it's a science fiction series by the creator of Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
The series is lead by Echo portrayed by Eliza Dushku. She's part of a group of people known as the "Dolls".
The dolls are people whose personalities in the outside world have been wiped clean so that the dolls can be imprinted with new personalities.

I have watched the pilot and it seem very interesting. i always liked Eliza's acting. Now, it is on its 12th episode where Echo was kidnapped by a former "Doll" .

if you have watched the series, what do you think about it? do you like it?
share of what you think about the series. :)

If you have not watched it, have you heard of it? do you like the concept of the show? do you like sci-fi series?

Thanks for your replies! :)

Connor? Hate him or love him?

Like most fans, i was sad when the show (Angel) was cancelled and also a bit disappointed that Connor's character didn't get that much exposure in the end. Connor is a character that the show could have explored more, especially after he got back from Quortoth (is that correct?). the idea of Angel having a son was great and there could have been a lot of great stories with the dynamics between father and son as backdrop. I've read a few fanfictions which could have been great as episodes... I hope i'm not the only one who liks Connor ^_^ and an Angel movie with Connor will be greatly appreciated.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel, which TV series of Joss Whedon is better?

I used to be a fan of the show Buffy the Vampire Slayer so I would have to say Buffy. I know the latter got some potential but I chose Buffy because the success of Joss Whedon with it was in the juxtaposition of the wildly inventive and sinister supernatural world against the simple and sometimes banal human world. The dialogue was witty. The characters were fun and engaging. And the storyline, though fantastical and morbid, were actually very telling of the human condition.

Resurrecting Firefly?

Any talk on getting Firefly going again? The spring seasons have started for the most part and I hadn't seen anything about this one. But finally I saw a commercial for it. It's starting February 13th!! Leave it to Joss Whedon to get his new sci-fi/horror series to start on Friday the 13th hehe

If you haven't seen or heard anything about this one, here is the synopsis from TV.com:

The Dollhouse is a very secret, and very illegal, place where wishes come true. Clients with the right connections and enough money can hire "Actives", people who have been programmed to perfectly fulfill the needs, and desires of their clients. The Actives are people who have chosen, for their own reasons, to surrender their bodies and minds for a five-year stay in the Dollhouse. Now they can be imprinted with any personality, skill, or even muscle memory. They can be the perfect companion, lover, spy, assassin; and when the job is done they forget everything.

But something is wrong with the Active called "Echo". No longer just a blank slate waiting for her next assignment, Echo is remembering flashes of the lives that she has lived and the games she has played, and she is starting to wonder just who she really is...

Echo is Eliza Dushku, for Buffy/Whedon fans of old.
