What happened to Yahoo? Their other free services still look fine and professional, but in these two applications they seem to have no control. I am using Gmail mail account for work-related emails, because it can easily detect spam, and there isn't too much spamming there. I am still keeping a Yahoo account for messenger/mail because I use it for personal purpose. But I guess it is not worth keeping. The spam are really annoying. i have one valid inbox message and the rest, more than 10 are spam! grrr... My older son started to grow long hair a year ago, and I don’t have a problem with that, in fact I encourage him to have his own style in everything, long hair is just his way of expressing himself. He has a really beautiful, curly hair, and he takes care of it. And he couldn’t care less what someone, besides me and my husband, and his friends, has to say about it. Yesterday I was outside of my building when I saw my son crossing the street with his friends. He waved at me to wait for him, so I did. And that’s when I accidentally overheard two older ladies talking about my son and his friends (by the way, the two out of three of them had long hair), saying that they are ‘drug addicts, junkies’. I was horrified, as ladies are my neighbours, they know my son, and he was well behaved always. So what was this all about? I don’t like to argue with anyone, especially with neighbours, and I didn’t feel I should explain anything, I know people still had prejudice, especially older ones, and it’s difficult for them to understand my son’s long hair and his clothes. So I don’t even bother, I let them think what they want. But, nevertheless, I felt bad, because I always taught my son to be what he really is, to be unique, to think about things, not just accepting them from others, to express him whichever way he finds suitable, considering, of course, that his behaviour is socially acceptable. Would you let your son grow his hair long? Is it good or bad to encourage your children to think, dress and have their own style? Do you know of scrap metal thefts rising in your area, or do you know anyone who has been a victim or had something vandelized so someone could steal metal for scrap metal sale?
