My grandmother is the only one I can remember when I was growing up who had a perfect matching set. My mother always used the plastic bowls...and for some reason I prefer the stainless steel ones. Now when I am out thrifting if I come across a set I always pick them up. Because I love the looks of them, the durability and the way I feel like a real cook while cooking or baking with them.

It's huge and I can usually find brand new clothes - with tags still on them for my children. They grow so fast and I can find cute play clothes and even nice dressy clothes for cheap.
I also like thrift stores.
Do you ever shop Goodwill or thrift stores or do have to have evrything retail?

I Like Cooking Alone Some Days And On Others, I Enjoy When I Have Someone To Help Me In The Kitchen Cooking. I Do Not Like Having Someone Come Into My Kitchen Just To Taste The Food And Tell Me What I Need/Don't Need To Do, It Drives Me Crazy! And As For Having 2 Women In The Kitchen To Cook, It Don't Work For Me...lol I Like Being The Only Woman In The Kitchen. Now Throw In A Few Men Who Don't Know What They Are Doing, And Don't Claim To Know Anything About Cooking...And I'm Happy!

What is in your kitchen you just can't throw out?

I bought this cheap 4 cup plastic measuring cup in a dollar store a few years ago. Within a month or so the numbers had all worn off. I have used it each morning to froth my milk for my cappuccino and it has a stripe worn into it. I use it to water the plants. It seems I am always using it. I have a real love hate relationship with the thing. I even have a fancy new measuring cup I never use. Why this thing has a hold on me I'll never know. Is there something in your kitchen that you just can't live without? Something you just can't seem to put in the garbage?

Is your kitchen to cluttered? How do you take the clutter out of the kitchen?

Sometimes my kitchen gets cluttered. I like to try many different products. I think trying to keep things basic is much better and will keep the clutter down. I try not to be tempted with the latest kitchen gadgets. It can be very hard. For example..lol.. : George forman grill, the apple peeler, crock pots, dehydrators, rotissarie, pop corn maker, ice cream maker, ice shavers... All of these things can really clutter the kitchen..lol.

What turns you on......

In the kitchen...come on people, minds out of the gutter!

I never use my oven, but I use my stove top all the time. Anything that can be grilled or sauteed I can cook, but not much else. I have never had a really nice skillet so when I was in Target the other day, I finally broke down and bought a lovely new skillet with a sturdy glass lid, and I'm very excited about it. I only had two pans before and both were a big, scraped up mess, and I didn't have a lid for the big one but the small one never fit everything in it at once.

So, anyway...I'm very excited about my newest kitchen ware. What about you? Do you have anything in your kitchen that gets you excited? A set of dishes, some cool pots and pans, an espresso machine?
