I used to practice a lot more towards the beginning, between 2-5 hours a day. I generally don't practice as much now although I tend to practice somewhere between 5 and 10 hours a week. How often/ long do you practice at your instrument? By practice time I mean working on technical skill, ear training, etc but not writing your own music or just playing something you already know. I have only played using Yamaha, Roland, Korg, and Technics keyboard. All of them certainly have unique features, pros, and cons. I prefer Korg for a Synthesizer since Korg is very great at mixing sound together (I have used Triton). For an Arranger Keyboard I certainly prefer Yamaha keyboard. New Yamaha keyboard are developed with great technology, they offer so many creative style and sounds. Recently I am using PSR S900 series, it's a very great stuff. For Roland brand, I don't really like newer Roland brand since they are a bit difficult in operation and the sound quality is below Yamaha keyboard in average for keyboard with same price range. It took me about two hours but I figured out how to use some of the settings, I haven't totally figured out how to use it yet though. I was a bit disappointed with the delay setting as I don't think you can change the delay time. However, there's a pitch shifter setting on it that I think sounds really great.
