http://www.mylot.com/w/keywords/maury+povich.aspx MyLot Discussions About maury povich en-gb http://www.mylot.com/w/discussions/2058779.aspx i am not a fan of maury povich's show but did watch a bit of it while channel surfing today. i dont care what the topic is, cheating husbands or wives, who the baby dadd is, whatever. on what seems to be each and every show, someone is always so upset that they have to run off stage, maury usually goes after them and comforts them while they boo-hoo their hearts out. if i were a guest on his show and was told that my husband/boyfriend had cheated on me (and proven through a lie detector), i'll be darned if i would go running off the stage! i would be right up front and center, in his face telling him to get the hell out of my house, just pack his things and GET OUT, knowing that i had the upper hand in things! i wouldnt go making a fool of myself and run off stage screaming, crying, throwing myself on the floor, etc. oh hell no. i'd be mad but i would also get even! why do you think that someone on every show has to run off? are they told to do that or what? i remember when his show was fairly decent to watch but with each passing day, he seems to be turning into another jerry springer show! Maury Povich has almost every episode dedicated to finding baby daddy's. What surprises me the most is the women that have DNA tested 5-10 men and none of them are the father! Why do I like this show so much? It's terrible for the child, humiliating for the woman, yet it's great entertainment. It's one of the only daytime talk shows I actually enjoy watching. I know it's real but it's a terrible form of a reality show. Do you watch finding baby daddy shows? Do you enjoy them, if so why? I'd like to know why I like it and I am hoping someone here will have the answer for me because I don't think I should enjoy watching it as much as I do. Is that sick for me to find this sort of tragedy entertaining? Apparently a lot of people do because these episodes are on the air on almost a daily basis. I really miss when he use to do real talk shows, but I get a kick out of the baby's daddy shows. What would do you do if - or your significant other - was called to be on the show? Would your reaction change based on if you knew about the child, the age of the child, etc? If my husband got a call to be on that show and the baby was older (at least 6 years old), I would laugh so hard. I wouldn't go on there with him though. I do need to have some pride. If the baby was younger, I would divorce him anyways since if the baby was younger than 6, we have been together for 6 years, so that means he cheated on me at some point and couldn't be trusted. Which talk show was it? Did it have a positive impression on you or was a horrible mistake? If you've never been on one and you got the chance, what do you think it would be about? Which is your favorite topics on the talk shows? Is there any that you don't like? I've never been on one but I think if I ever was it would be about fighting siblings. My oldest Brother and I have had terrible fights in the past. He's thrown steak knives at me and I've set fire to his bed while he was sleeping in it :) I used to watch Jerry Springer off and on just b/c I think it's so insane. My favorites were the women that would come on fighting over a man. Usually he was the husband or b/f of one woman and cheating with the other woman. They'd fight like crazy for him and I'd sit there wondering WHY????? I mean if he cheated on the wife or g/f then why would she want him back especially after bringing her on National TV to tell her this and then the one he was cheating with I'd wonder why would she want him, if he cheated once then he'll do it again.
