Now that I know the basic proportions and have see the colors of the mica and the iron oxides, I can look for deals on those substances when I am ready to restock them. The recipe for the base powder makes enough that it will probably last quite a while, which means I can use small amounts to experiment a little with changing the hue or the depth of the color. The pamphlet that came with the kit has the recipes for blending base powder for 3 other skin types with tips on creating special shades...these people are obviously thinking that once you have the kit and get comfortable with blending, you will be setting up to sell finished product.
