how well do you sleep on them? do you think is the traveling that helps you sleep well on them since your so tired or do you think that hotels are slowly putting more money into getting better beds so that that is a thing of the past?

Bed Bugs!!!

A friend of mine called me today and said that bed bugs
are everywhere in hotels and motels. They get on your clothes
and they stay on your body. She even told me to make sure
you wash your suit cases. This is really disgusting to me.
I am a clean person so this really grosses me out. Is this
really true or is just a myth? Thank you.

Hotels and Lodging.. What are some of the most inexpensive hotels you have stayed in? Do you think if you pay more you get more? Here I pay so much ..and there is no ammenities.

What have been some of your experiences with hotles? Any bad ones that make you not want to return?

It certainly is very enjoyable when the weather is favorable. I really enjoy driving long distances, and make stops on the way when I feel like it. I would then put up at motels along the highways. Do you do that too when you travel driving along highways ?

whats your hidden secrets to cleaning hard to deal with stains?

I am always looking for ways to get rid of stains.. As a parent there is always a new stain to deal with. Whats some of your fixes on stains? I will start with one I know
I worked as a housekeeper/laundry person at a local motel. I learned that the easiest way to get rid of blood is to use peroxide. I had never thought of it .. but when i did think about it sure made sense... ( you will not believe the nasty things people leave in motel rooms... I just don't like to bring her along if I knew she do such things. Those stuffs are such as toothbrush, soap, and clean towels. I told my friend that he better leashed her girlfriend, and prevent her to commit such crime again if we go on vacation again. Can you believe that? Would you steal hotel stuffs like that? That is worthless.

MY bf needs a home:(

Where can I find really cheap motels in the west la area for under $300 a month for him to move into until he can get a job and a home. He has no where to go and he can't live with me. He can't seem to get into shelters, and many of them have to long a waiting list. He's also an ex convict. So this seems the best case senerio.

Do you like old family hotels or modern star hotels?

I was once in Berlin, and stayed in a little family hotel, with brief shower facilities in the bedroom. They serve free breakfast, and the hostress very friendly.

Have you been in old family hotels? Do you prefer old family hotels or modern star hotels?

Should we pay half price?

If we have stayed in a motel for almost a month, do you think that the manager should allow us to pay half price, instead of the full price? We have been here for a month now. We used to stay in an suite, but that was $50.00 a day. So, we moved to the double room, which is $48.00. I mean, if we are paying and staying without giving any trouble, do you think that we should be allowed to pay half price. Would that be common courtesy of the manager to allow us to pay since we have been staying this long?

February 14 - Fully Booked?

A friend of mine working in a hotel shared that February 14 is one of their busiest days. And it's not just the hotel where he's working! According to him, Metro Manila's hotels, motels, inns, lodging house - whatever they are called - are always full every Valentines Day.

What do you think fellow Filipino myLoters? Is it now becoming a tradition/practice to spend valentines day in a rented room?
