The movie only had one star. There was nothing else on TV, so we watched it. It turned out to be really interesting!!! What happened to every movie having a rating and why it's rated that way like it always has been? As a parent and thinking a movie that looks like a family movie borders on an X rated movie. OMG, i really do not know how to explain it. i just told, "well, he is a bad guy and that is something that is never to be imitated or done by good and nice people like us". then the innocent kid nodded. so, do you as parents do this [b]parental guidance [/b] thing when watching a PG rated movie? However TV serials including popular ones like comedies (FRIENDS, Seinfeld etc) and others have a lot of adult jokes, mature scenes, dirty talk etc etc etc and none of them display a warning or rating for the serials before they start. Is this peculiar to the cahnnels I watch - AXN, STar World, Zee Cafe etc or is it the same everywhere? What do you think about this issue? I've enclosed a pic of the suggested ratings. But there doesn't really seem to be any more nudity or sexual references than in a rated R flick. Does anyone else see this? Mon, 11 Aug 2008 15:36:11 GMT tinkerick http://www.mylot.com/w/discussions/1613585.aspx My son in law is a teacher at a small primary school.They were supposed to have sports day last friday,but the ground was too damp,and in case any child slipped it was cancelled.So instead of sports day they were allowed to watch a film.He chose a film that was a U certificate,and popped it on to play..all was going well,and they were really enjoying it..when out of the blue the owrd SH*T was said..well son in law was really annoyed ,as he certainly hadnt expected this film to have that word in it!!!He now feels that some of the parents will complain,mainly as he was sure that the children picked up on it!!..would you complain??would you be mad that the word had come up in a film that your children had watched in school??? I have little ones so its G and PG rated movies for our family. I don't push the line to PG-13 because its my responsibility to filter out what I don't want them to see until I think they are mature enough. Does this guide help you pick movies?
