Movie

Who agrees with me:
The movie absolutely ruined the story telling of the book.
My mother and I share books and discuss them, and we both found Memoirs a delightful read, and as such, when we heard about the release of the movie we were both eager to view it and compare the two.

I have to say, we were sorely disappointed by the adaptation.
The film completely changes parts of the story line, and even though it is still a fairly long movie,
cuts out (for some reason unknown to me) some of the vital narrations and scenes in order for a coherent story line.

I'd love some feedback and other opinions.

What do you think before watching a film?

I want to ask, what you think before watching the film, I mean why you must watch a film. Because of the film star, the story, the cinema building, the price ticket or have the other reason?

Ghajini or Rab ne bana di jodi- which bollywood movie was better?

So, Im 100% sure that by now, almost all of us wud hav watched ghajini and rnbdj. And till now, I cannot really understand what the movie is about. It is not really exciting. Neither is it boring. I really do not know if I would recommend it to you or not.

But here is the plot summary.

Set in a gritty and alternate 1985, where the glory days of costumed vigilantes have been brought to a close by a government crackdown. But when one of the masked veterans is brutally murdered, the last remaining vigilante, Rorschachlaunch an investigationto try and uncover ther reason why the Comedian was murdered.

This reunited some of the heroes, who then set out to prevent their own destruction. But in doing so, they discovered a deeper and far more diabolical conspirarcy to create peace!

In between, there were sub-plots exploring the intricacies of humanity.

But it is all pretty confusing.

I may have to watch it again to give a better review.

But if you have watched it and understand the movie, do share your views!

Movie Review: Inglourious Basterds

Went to watch the movie Inglourious Basterds after reading several reviews and viewing the trailer.
Gave me the impression that it was a comedy that is worth the cinema ticket.

Honestly, the show is nice. But personally, I feel it is not worth the ticket to watch it in the cinema. Wait for the DVD.

Anyway, here is a short story out line (warning, may contain some spoilers...)

The show begin in German-occupied France. Shosanna Dreyfus witnesses the execution of her family at the hands of Nazi Colonel Hans Landa. She narrowly escapes and flees to Paris, where she forges a new identity as the owner and operator of a cinema.

Colonel Hans Landa is portrayed as a very shewed man. A very smart and meticulous person who takes great pride in his work, seeking out Jews and German Traitors and seeing to their execution. A talented man who speaks may languages. Nothing escapes his eyes when he is on to you.

Elsewhere in Europe, Lieutenant Aldo Raine organizes a group of Jewish soldiers to engage in targeted acts of retribution on the Nazi soldiers. They relentlessly hunt and kill the Nazi soldiers. And have a habit of collecting scalps from their kills.
As their killing escalated, their enemy nicknamed them as "The Basterds". Raine's squad joins German actress and undercover agent Bridget Von Hammersmark on a mission to take down the leaders of The Third Reich.

Fates converge, when a german movie star, who is also a war hero, engages the help of the cinema operator to host his movie. Unknown to him, the cinema operator is the same Shosanna who escaped the clutches of Colonel Landas a few years back. Shosanna, knowing that the colonel will be attending the movie premier, is poised to carry out a revenge plan of her own.

The ending was a little disappointing. Speckled with a few laughable moments throughout the film, there is nothing much spectacular about this movie that received so many good reviews.

Like I said, it is not worth the movie ticket to watch it on the big screen. Wait for the DVD.

I don't like to waste my time watching boring movies. I also hate to come out of a movie theatre thinking "the movie was a waste of my money".
So I like wait and watch or read reviews of movies before watching a movie. Reading reviews lets me understand what type of movie it is, is it a family movie etc.
So how do you make your decisions?

Forrest Gump the movie

hey guys, yesterday i saw the movie forrest gump and i would like to share my thoughts about that. i feel it is a wonderful movie. it is one of those which is very different from the regular movies. it has some matter inside which makes you think and also feel . i was really touched by the character of forrest gump and really like the fact that what ever he did, he did it with full dedication and never give up and that is why he was so much successful in what ever he did. i think his biggest strength is his attitude of never accepting defeat and that is what made him so special. i think we should take learnings from such characters. yes for sure real life is not so easy as it seems in the movie but yes the message is very clear and true. i would like to know what you think about the same.
