Recently I have seen something interesting about robot driven cars in the discovery channel. Scientists say that it really reduce accidents and there is no need of a person to drive that car. Everything is robotic..

They say that these cars have sensors in them which will be routed and directed to the destination which is set in them.

They also say that these are the next generation cars. How do you feel if it is driven by robots or by the car itself?

Will they really reduce accidents? Do let me know your views....

Cheers... Have a nice day....[em]thumbup[/em]

This was to help the economy and it did so. The problem is the CFC program is only a one time stimulus and will actually hurt in the long term. If you go out and buy a new car now, that car has already been built. Once a car lands in a dealership there is no new production needed. Auto industry only build for the future. A new car should last you for at lest five years, and actually they should last more like ten. For CFC to have long term success every year the federal government would need to renew the program. With a little over 2.2 million new cars owners tied up for at lest five year those are 2.2 million that will not be interested over the next five year for a car. That will mean less production at the assembly line.

Brand new inexpensive car or older luxury car?

Hi All,

Im curious how many of you would prefer to drive a new moderately priced car to an older more expensive model. While you may pay the same price for both vehicles, the qualities you will get from each are quite different. Considering the pros and cons, what would you choose?

Would you buy a used car? Or is new better?

I would, and have. My family currently owns 2 used vehicles. We bought them out right. It has certainly saved us money. Not having that monthly car payment has been a blessing more than once. A good friend of mine recently spent $26,000 on a new van. Is this an expense you would undertake? Do you have a problem buying a used car?

UK drivers - will Alistair Darling's £2k persuade YOU to buy a new car?

This seems a flawed argument and I don't think many people will be able to take advantage of it.
If you drive a car that's 10 years old you do that because you can't afford an newer one.
So if you can get a £16k car for £14k big deal. If you ain't got £16k you almost certainly don't have £14k so it's no sort of bargain.
Or am I looking at this the wrong way?
What effect will it have on second hand car dealers and scrap metal merchants?

Buying a Vehicle, New or Used?

I had always paid cash for a used car. Now I have loan for a used car. I will be paying on it for another 4 years. This sucks. However, I am aware, that soon, I will need to get a newer vehicle because cars depreciate pretty fast.

Even though the actual buying process might take a few years, since I'm not ready to give up a fully paid vehicle, I have already started my research. Right now, the contenders for my choice are the Subaru Forester and the Nissan Murano. A little above my price range, but my dream SUV is Infiniti's FX35. Obviously, based on my choices, I'm an SUV girl. Somehow, cars just don't do it for me.

How about you? What do you think will be your next car or vehicle? If you don't own one yet, what will be your choice if you ever decide to get one? Please share.
