I feel physical and mentally alert. I like to walk the dog around five, then take a shower and prepare my lessons for my evening classas. I'm 68 years old, but have been an early riser for all of my working life. What about you myLotters? What's your best time of the day?

If you could have a bit more time.

I get up in the morning, have my coffee and a smoke (no lectures please) and open my emails and mylot. Next thing you know, I'm in a panic because the time has just flown by and I've got to get ready for work, with less time than I would have preferred to give myself. In the evenings, it also seems like the hours aren't nearly long enough for all I'd like to get done. My house is a mess, I haven't entered nearly as many comments back on my responses as I'd like and my eyes are becoming weary. I push myself to stay up though, because I know if I don't tomorrow morning will be right on top of me and I want to extend the day as long as I can. If you were to be given a little extra time would you prefer it in the morning or in the evening and why?

The seasons & night to day.

During its rotation on its axis, our Earth is slightly inclined from its orbit. This is what causes the formation of the four seasons: spring, summer, autumn & winter.

If Allah willed, howeva, our Earth would stand straight upright to its orbit. Then there would b no seasons. The temperature would b the same all over Earth.

From the food we eat to the ear we breathe, our lifestyle & environment would b completely different.

Dear Folk, hav u eva wondered how night & day come into existence?

Space is completely dark. Howeva, on our Earth, which is also a space, there is an alteration between night & day. In the morning, we wake up to sunshine but when night falls, it bcums dark.

Well, how dyou think our Earth bcums bright in the morning?

As our Earth moves along its orbit, it also turns around itself like a spinning top. As Earth revolves around itself, the side facing the Sun bcums light.

Unlike our planet, Uranus rotates in its side, as if the planet has fallen over. This causes the planet to roll around the Sun in its orbit like a barrel. The equator of Uranus is tilted at 98' wif respect to its orbit, so that each pole is almost facing the Sun during part of each orbit.

It takes Uranus 84 earth years to orbit the sun!

Therefore, for years at a time, each of the poles receives either continuous sunlight or is continuously in shadow.

What would happen if it were always daytime on one side of Earth & night on the other?

If this were the case, people would not hav specific times for sleep. Every1 would sleep or b awake at different times. There would b much confusion in relationships between people.

Lets 1st imagine that we only had daytime: Would we be able to sleep soundly?

Bsides, we would neva b able to see the moon & stars that r visible only in the darkness of the night.

***A traveller continuously moving at a certain speed to the West by plane is always in daytime since the Sun neva sets. If earth didnt rotate around its own axis, we would neva see the night, juz like this traveller on the aeroplane.***

Alternatively, what if we were always in darkness?

First, we would neva b able to see the Sun, blue skies or other beauties we can only see during the day. No one knows how our sleeping hours or schedule at school would be. We would go to school/work in the darkness of the night & have our breaks in darkness.

Whats more important is the plants that need both night & day to live would quickly disappear. Eventually this would mean the end of life.

Howeva, Our Lord has created night & day to make our lives easy. By creating night & day, He has put our lives into order. The reasons for the creation of night & day r stated in the Quran as follows:

"It is He who made the night a cloak for u & sleep a rest, and He made the day a time for rising. (al-Furqan: 47)

Consider that everyday new discoveries & inventions r being made. Howeva, none of these r unprecedented;

that is, they r all inspired by things & beings already existing in nature. Which one of these inventions could make Earth rotate around itself & thus cause night & day?

None of them, right?

Only Our Lord, the Creator of the heavens, the earth & everything in between could accomplish this.

Always keep in mind that juz as Allah has created the night & day, He could well remove them. Then our lives would b in turmoil. Furthermore, we would not b around to read these lines.

In the Quran, Allah informs us that if He wills He could lengthen the night or day:

"... If Allah made it permanent night for u till the Day of Rising, what god is there other than Allah to bring u light? ..." (al-Qasas: 71)

"... If Allah made it permanent day for u till the Day of Rising, what god is there other than Allah to bring u night to rest in? (al-Qasas: 72)

These verse make it clear that neither night nor day could have come into existence w/o Allah's will. This universe & everything in it belongs to Allah, the Creator.

Dear Folks;

never forget that Allah the All-Mighty has perfectly created u & everything u know & can imagine.

day and night

why do we have day and night??

See the day and night at same time...

This Photo is absolutely Beautiful.
Be sure to read the text below to have a better understanding of what you are viewing.
It is historic too as this is the last mission for Columbia.

The photograph attached was taken by the crew on board the Columbia during its last mission, on a cloudless day.
The picture is of Europe and Africa when the sun is setting.
Half of the picture is in night. The bright dots you see are the cities' lights.

The top part of Africa is the Sahara Desert .

Note that the lights are already on in Holland , Paris , and Barcelona ,
and that's it's still daylight in Dublin , London , Lisbon , and Madrid .

The sun is still shining on the Strait of Gibraltar . The Mediterranean Sea is
already in darkness.

In the middle of the Atlantic Ocean you can see the Azores Islands;
below them to the right are the Madeira Islands ; a bit below are the
Canary Islands; and further South, close to the farthest western point
of Africa , are the Cape Verde Islands.

Note that the Sahara is huge and can be seen clearly both during
day time and night time.

To the left, on top, is Greenland , totally frozen .
Who'll have a chance to see all this?? We are lucky!!

night and day

At night they come <a href="http://www.makemoneywithnomoneyonline.com" alt="Make Money With No Money" target="_blank">with</a>out being fetched, And by day they are lost <a href="http://www.makemoneywithnomoneyonline.com" alt="Make Money With No Money" target="_blank">with</a>out being stolen."
