Now, before you get the wrong idea, it isn't a man, but a machine. LOL To be more specific a vehicle!

For those of you that have seen my discussion a few weeks ago about having to buy a used vehicle, my husband and I finally got one tonight! OMG, I'm totally in love with it!

My husband and I were able to sell his old truck and my broken down Ford to get the money. We also sold his baby (his motorcycle) that he's had for a few years now. I hated to see it go, but we needed to buy something reliable for the family to get around in. For the past week or so, we've had to rely on a friend of the family so that my husband could get to and from work and to the grocery store once or twice as well. Before that my husband was driving his old truck the way it was. I even took it up once to the bank. That was fun, especially when it started overheating and I didn't even make it there.

Anyway, the past few days have been really stressful on us. I've been busy looking at vehicles for sale online. We found a few, but some of them were through dealers and they wouldn't take the amount we had in full. To make matters worse, just when we thought we found a vehicle we liked though a private party, they got weird and starting giving us all these conditions. My husband was really discouraged, but I was determined to find something immediately so that he wouldn't have to rely on getting a ride anymore.

I found another that I liked, again through a private seller. The only problem was they were asking $300 more than what we had. When my husband saw the amount they were asking he got discouraged again, but then I pointed out these three little letters O-B-O. I ended up calling the seller but had to leave a message. Long story short, my husband ended up getting it! And the best part is it's a Nissan. Not just a Nissan though, but a 2000 Pathfinder! OMG, I drove it around after the previous owner and his dad had delivered it to us, and I have to say that I am in love!

So, have you ever been in love with another that wasn't your spouse/significant other? How did they feel about it? Were they jealous or did they not care at all?

Nissan GT-R: To Skyline or not to Skyline

The R35 has been out for awhile and it has deviated more than just a little from tradition. The engine is now a V6 compared to the straight 6 its predecessors have. The Skyline moniker has also been dropped so it is now the Nissan R35 GT-R as opposed to the older Nissan Skyline R34 GT-R. It feels as though the GT-R has decided it has enough fame for it to be on its own and abandon its Skyline family name.
What do you think? Do you think it should be the Skyline GT-R or GT-R?

The car(s) you are saving for

i just wanna know what cars are myLotters saving for. it can be any car but it has to be realistic and its what you want to own.
I'll start with mine in the order i'll acquire them
~3 years Kia Rio or Cerato(torn between both)
~8 years from now Nissan Silvia S15(maybe the S16 variant if its released)
~12 years from now Nissan GT-R R35(maybe even R36/37 variant)
I'm still in school so it'll be awhile before I am financially able to get one.
What's your list?

Which Do You Prefer?

Over the last twenty years, I've owned only American made automobiles. But lately I'm really becoming really annoyed at the problems that keep popping up.

I own a Ford Windstar minivan. It runs great. It's very comfortable and I really like it. It has 80,000 miles on it, so it's relatively new in regards to today's standards.

I do all the things you are supposed to do. I change the oil on a regular basis. I get it tuned-up, using the best spark plugs and wires. I rotate the tires and make sure all the other fluids are fresh.

But lately it's been one thing after another. About 2 months ago my engine light came on. I took it to get serviced and was told that I needed to replace two oxygen sensors and a manifold gasket that was leaking air, causing the the fuel to burn lean. That repair cost me over $500.

Then about 2 weeks ago I took my car for inspection and was told it failed because part of the subframe was rusted. The subframe basically holds the engine and transmission in place. If it had rusted completeley, the engine and transmission could have fell to the ground as I was driving. That repair cost was $1230.

Now my passenger side rear brake light isn't working. I changed the bulb. That didn't fix it. I changed the socket ,the bulb goes in, and that didn't work. I took it to Firestone Auto Repair and they said they couldn't fix it. I had to take it to a place that does electrical work on cars. This morning I talked to them and they say that just the diagnostic costs will be $100 and they think it's a module and weren't able to tell me how much that will cost until monday.

In addition to that, one of my door locks won't go down when I press the button and the cruise control doesn't work. I have to manually press the door button down in order to lock the door.

I feel that a car with 80,000 miles on it shouldn't be giving me this much problems when I do everything the manuel tells me to do in order to keep it running correctly.

NOW CHECK THIS OUT. This is what made me ask whether do you prefer American or Foreign Cars.

Since my car has been in the shop, I've been using my cousin's 2nd car. It's a 1996 Nissan Altima and he doesn't even drive it. He keeps it parked in a lot across the street from his house. It has 180,000 miles on it.

Everything on it works perfectly. All the power windows work. The power door locks work. The air conditioning work. The power sunroof work. It drives like a charm. DO YOU SEE MY POINT?

That is why I want to know which car to you prefer? American or Foreign?

Even though I am currently driving a Mitsubishi, I still prefer driving a Honda. My previous service was a Honda and I never encountered any problems with it asides from the price of the repair and parts. I also tried using Toyota, Nissan, Hyundai, and Ford cars but in terms of performance I would pick the Honda anytime.

Do you know how to drive? If so, what is it? I notice among girls two very common middle names are Anne and Marie. My middle name is Lauren.
And everyone tells me I have the coolest initials: TLC: Tiffany Lauren Colaso. Just like tender loving care. Someone once said, "Tiffany Lauren Colaso, you're so sweet, give me some of that TLC: tender loving care."
Anyway, please share your middle names with me.

370z

Anyone drive one of these yet? I drove the last generation 350Z but I really wasn't all that impressed with it. The 370 looks a lot better on the outside, but I haven't had the chance to take one for a drive yet. Any thoughts/impressions on it?

Sports Car or Classic Luxury?

Mercedes-Benz makes their cars to where they can have the top come down, have a roof window or the classic style.
