Are u the type who will match your galsses with your outfit?? Or are u the one with just 1 type of glasses for everything and evevryday use??
For me, i have 2 pairs.. One of which is frame-less, which i will wear it most of the time.. The other pair, which is plastic, i will wear it whenever i go to gym for workouts or running.. hehe^_^
So how about u?? Do u have glasses for different purposes?? Or just plain following the trend??

Does frugal always equal cheap?

I mentioned to a friend that I'm trying to be more frugal when I go grocery shopping. She immediately looked at me an expressed her sympathies. I couldn't understand what made her do that until she said that it must really suck to have to resort to eating "broke people food" to save money.

OMG, I couldn't stop laughing. Since when does being frugal equal buying things just because they're cheap? She seriously thought that I was surviving solely on ramen and Kraft mac and cheese.

All I'm really doing is whatching the advertismenets in the papers and buying things when I can get them at a steep discount. This week, Safeway had a really good sale on meats. I got four pounds of pork shoulder something or others the other day for just over four dollars. Add a bit of barbeque sauce and stick them in the oven, then serve with mashed potatoes and a fresh veggie for an inexpensive and tasty meal.

I tend to buy in bulk when things are discounted so much, and freeze most for later. It helps cut down meal costs when meats aren't priced so well.

But really, why is it that being frugal seems to be synonymous with "buying cheap, unhealthy things just because they're cheap?" It's totally possible to plan healthy, well-rounded meals without spending an arm and a leg. If you have a garden, it's even easier!

Summer camps are not cheap. Why are they so expensive?

I received an email from a few parents at my son's school saying that they were looking into sending their boys to a sports summer camp for four days (5th day being set aside for rain) from 8am-1pm in July and wondered whether Maddy would be interested in going too. I thought, ooh yay, why not, sounds like a lot of fun for him and I'm sure he will enjoy it too.

I went online to check the details and came across the price. $175 - can you believe it? I thought that was expensive for four days and only 20 hours in total to learn the basics in soccer, basketball, volleyball, softball and baseball. Or is the normal price? or am I getting a good deal here?. Do you think it's worth it?

I know they have to pay for the park grounds and person who is doing the camp but still, I could put him in 3 arts and crafts and doodler camps for that price lol but know that wouldn't be much fun considering he did this already last year lol

What do you think? am I over-reacting or is this the norm? Thanks for sharing.

The Cinema…………..

[em]rolleyes[/em]The Cinema is very popular amusement. Im not broke but Im not rich either. Things are getting tighter for all of us. I plan to go generic for baby stuff and yes I know I should go green but I cant bring myself to pay the prices for some of this new green stuff.

So my question is this am I wrong for being cheap? And with all this talk of a recession why does it seem there are more crazy expensive go green stuff than ever?

I use it and dump the canister. Nothing to it and done. My mother has that vacuum that cost over $1000 dollars. They come to your house and clean your carpet as a test. She even ruined her credit not paying for it. Now she and I are both on SSI. She has to buy bags to use her vacuum. She still has no bags for it. My sister has something like mine with a better name on it then mine. she always sends my nephews to borrow mine. I told them to get one like mine and be done with it.

Is it that hard to live good and frugal? Do you pay a lot for your bags?

Kinds of green tea

What kinds of green tea do you drink?

In Singapore, I can only find 2 variations that are reasonably priced so since these are the only choices I have, I alternate between them. (If anyone in Singapore knows more brands, do tell!)

So, what kinds of green tea do you drink?

PS.: It's weird that we can only upload one picture per post. So below is the first type I drink. The other can be seen at: www.divshare.com/download/160022-1bd & www.divshare.com/download/160032-097

too cheap?

my husband accuses me of being too cheap. not only do i clip coupons, but i use other store circulars in a major store for the competitive pricing. Ill call up the 800 numbers on the back of products to let them know how i feel about there products, just to get the coupons from them. I have also been known to fill out a 10 minute surveys to save a few cents in stores like Burger King, or Toys R' Us. Is this too much? Am i being too frugal? Does anyone out there have other ideas on saving some cents.....?!?!?!?!
