Me and my boyfriend well fiance have been together almost a year and a half now. Hes leaving for basic training on Sept 9th which is only in 5 days. We found out i was pregnant about a week ago now and he said hes not ready. Hes very much leaning to abortion and he wanted to do it together before he left but there where no appt. Now he is leaving the decision up to me. But he would very much like to follow threw with our plan. So what do you think i should do?

I've just been ordained as clergy in the Church of Spiritual Humanism. It was really easy, and I really like what the church stands for. Now, I need to mylot my way towards paying for my official ID card so when I go around marrying people and performing baptisms I don't get arrested.

Can I marry you? Renew your vows? Christen your child? I only use my powers for good, not evil, so no curses. (Unless you want to pay extra)

I am happily married to my soul mate and am not looking....but the other day I was going through some papers and found my ordination from the Universal Ministries. I had completely forgotten that I am an ordained minister capable of performing marriage rites.

The reason? Years ago some very good friends asked me to perform their wedding aboard the Seattle Ferry. When I pointed out the obvious--that I was not legally able to join people in matrimony, they informed me that all I had to do was go online and I could get ordained in a matter of minutes. And so I did.

Sadly though, I never got the privilege of performing my friends' ceremony; they ended up in Vegas instead. But I am still deeply touched that they asked me to be a part of their special day in such a special way.

Were you aware you could get ordained? And would you if a friend asked you to perform their wedding?

That's REVEREND Travis To You!

For years I have considered the idea of becoming a Minister in the Universal Life Church. I am a Buddhist-Discordian-Taoist-Hindu at heart, but for years I have had a growing respect for the thread of contemplative tradition that runs through the words of the Christian Mystics.

Through a random series of web searches and clicks I ended up on the church's website today, www.ulcseminary.org, and got ordained.

Blessings on all MyLotters, whether they hate me now, or not. ;-)

Who Are You?

Ok we all have some very creative names we hide behind here on Mylot and well there are some I just go huh whats that mean. So I wanna know what does you Mylot name stand for? I know some of you have already told me this before but I have made some new friends lately and would like to know what theres stand for.

Mine is just a nickname I had for when I did modeling so the weirdos out there wouldnt know my real name lol. As for the numbers they are just random to be different.

Now the next part is whos willing to share their real names here. Mine is Mandy. Im not asking for full names or social security numbers or anything and if you dont want to share I wont be offended at all some people love thier privacy.

Cohabitation (Living Together Unmarried) Never Works!

Living together, playing married, or just "doing it because everyone is doing it" doesn't and never will work if you are contemplating marriage. The only time you try out the merchandise is at a shoe store or clothing establishment.

You will never find out if he or she will be right for you by living together prior to marriage. People, in many cases, just do not act the same prior to marriage then they will after they are man and wife.

Sure, the divorce rate is high. I wonder if there are statistics indicating how many lived together prior to marrying and how many didn't.

I know there are many pros and cons out there. So blast away!

But I do not believe that he has my life planned and I have no choice. I hear all the time about free will, but if I believed as many do, I could not believe in free will. I might as well just sit on the couch in front of the tv set and let things go because, "that is what God has planned for me." BS. God might have a plan, as I have for my kids. But he understands and accepts my decisions in life, even if it doesn't adhere to his map. he created me with a brain and a heart and a desire of my own and he understands my need to branch out on my own and follow my heart. Too many people don't believe this. They believe that if they go by their desires and instincts, they are going against God and disrespecting Him. I disagree.

Luckily it's for my best friend's wedding, it's going to be them, myself, my boyfriend and another best friend of ours and her fellow. Small, small ceremony, as far as i know there isn't a location yet either. I'm assuming that we're going to find a place on the Oregon coast with a really great view, pull over, do the ceremony, sign things, then go get liquored up. XP It's rather to know i'm officially ordained. XD
