Or do you always patch things up again?

As of this minute I have gone, 3 days 14 hours and 21 minutes without a cigarette. I started off the first day on patches but decided from the second day to go cold turkey. I have been so ill I can not believe it, I have been bedridden for nearly two days and can hardly walk due to aching joints,I have been unable to eat since Sunday. I am so gutted because it is new years eve today and I had been invited to a party tonight and now I cannot go because I am just a mess. It is like a full dose of flu but I know it is not it is because of not having ciggies, my hubby gave up a few days before me and he had exactly the same so that must be what the chemicals in them do to a person, all I can say at this point is if I ever smoke again then I am stupid!! If anyone else is trying to quit smoking then good luck and I really hope you do not become as ill as I have been!!! Oh and Happy New Year to everyone!!!! xxxx

Do you update your Windows regularly?

Take the question literally this once. Do you update your Windows regularly?

I don't know much about Macs (the computer not the food) but I would assume you get regular options to patch your machine like the case for Windows. Anyway, do you patch your machine regularly by installing those new patches once they are released?

For Windows, one way to do it is to just run the update via your Internet Explorer (I know other browsers don't quite work). I used to do that regularly but there came a time when Microsoft started releasing rotten things and my computer went down because of their patches. Sometimes they destroyed my computer; other times my access to the Internet was wiped. I know the patches were the culprits because I did troubleshooting and rollbacks.

So now, I just keep my fingers crossed and live without new patches. Better that than have my days disrupted to no end by installing patches that are supposed to heal but end up killing. FYI, I am using original Windows so it's really kinda crappy.

So, do you update your Windows regularly? I live in an apartment and I really miss being able to get out and garden, and I'm tired of house plants. I have plenty of windowsill space, so I'm going to grow a couple of varieties of lettuce, and I'm going to see how well miniature tomatoes will do. Is there anybody here who gardens indoors?

comedy makes people happy.Why?

After watch a comedy show or movie people feel happy and relaxed from pressures and tension. Why does this happens?

What kind of birth control do you use? Is it working for you?

I started using the birth control pill when I started BC. After I got married and had one child, I started using the Patch. That method was a lot easier than the pill because I didn't have to remember to take it every day. It was a once a week thing.

After I miscarried last November, I decided to put myself on the Miredia (sp?) so that I wouldn't get pregnant again so soon. We still are talking about more children (we have two), we just need to get our life straightened out a little more before we have more.

Every marriage goes through a bad patch...

Generally every marriage runs into a bad patch sooner or later. There are many reasons for this and every marriage has some very touchy points which makes it go through these bad patches.
It is ideal when the partners keep pace with each partner's personal growth. But in many cases this does not happen. It is like having one of the actors in a drama who wont stay in character LOL...
Partners should let each other focus on her/his own interests and give space & encouragement to cultivate it instead of resenting it and making an issue . the most common reason given is neglect of home and family, here both can pool in ..
There are many such reasons which over a period of time get pricky and finally become major issues of discontent between two.
And bad patches are sometimes made worse by interfering relatives offering unsolicited advice and the couple avoiding to seek professional help when it is most needed.[em]confused[/em]Friends What other reasons can you list out that makes marriage go through a bad patch?

sims 2 disk

i lost my sims 2 disk 1, now i can't play. is there anyway to get around it and play w/out the disk

Do you repair your clothes or do you throw them away and buy new ones?

I am talking about simple repairs like sewing on buttons, repairing tears and worn patches, mending pockets, darning socks and so on.

My mother would always repair clothes until they were really no longer wearable. Our socks were darned, our buttons replaced, the collars of our shirts were turned when they were worn and holes in pockets were either mended or the pocket replaced.

These days, it seems, there is less time than there was and many people don't even bother to replace a button (even if they know how to!)

Do you do these simple repairs (or would you even know how to!)?
