I have a big bag and what's inside in my bag are my 2 cellphone, lip gloss, tissue, alcohol, wipes, umbrella, handkerchief, press powder, keys, wallet. Every item in my bag has a purpose, I'm always prepared, I carries items which are sensible and practical.

Wat things do you consider too personal & you don't want to others to borrow it?

Well besides my wristwatches it has to be my laptop. It annoys me when someone borrows my laptop or uses it even here at home[em]glare[/em]. They can use my desktop but not the laptop.

I'm not a selfish person. I let others borrow things from me. Sometimes borrowers doesn't even return things they borrowed and I don't nag them about it. But I consider my laptop a personal thing and I'm afraid that it might be destroyed if someone uses it.

Laptops are expensive and I can't buy a new one at the moment if my laptop is destroyed. And the reason why I post this is because one of my cousins whose a high school student wants to borrow my laptop and bring it to school. I don't want to but I don't know how to tell him that I can't lend him my laptop. I haven't said yes or no either.

Have you been in this kind of situation, wherein someone is borrowing an item from you and you don't want to lend him/her? How did you say no? What things can you lend others and what things can't you not lend others?

Please do share![em]wink[/em]

He was griping to me that his boss is a real pain.
Micro managing everything.
I go like... okay... same old gripes each time we meet.

Then something he said caught my attention.
His boss is actually sniffing all his emails. And not just listening to them on his computer. He is also replying to them on his behalf at times as well.
How does he know? When the reply from the sender is cc to him. Looking at the history of the mail, his boss replied to the mail and did not inform him. And the best part of it is, he was not in the mailing list of the mail to begin with!

Then he found out that his boss also keeps tracks of the internet traffic as well. Key logging every computer in the lab and monitoring all the key logs.
That means that when you sign in to the web mail or anything secure site, he knows which site it is. And even the passwords to those site. Cos the key logger logs everything.

He said he found out cos during on of the meetings, his boss mentioned about things that he did not share with the company. Things like his credit card numbers which he used to buy a gift for his girlfriend during lunch for some special occasion.

Is this ethical?
Is it breaking the law to be key logging your own employees?
Are they allowed to even do what they do?

What would you do if your boss were to do the same thing in your office?

How do you tell a friend or relative that her kids a brat!?!

I have a friend that is driving me nuts with their parenting! I know it's absolutely none of my business bu when the "little darlin" gets into my purse and rummages and tears up my house I want to scream! I don't think that I should have to put up with this and have tried to explain that the things in my purse are off limits but she just lets this child go through hers so the child thinks it's ok to do so to mine. And when they act up the parent will say that I will "get them"! I am not the boogy man and I don't want to be. Wouldn't you think she would want to parent her own child!!?

Someone has been on my laptop,

besides me! So would like your opinions on how you would handle this one, I have my own idea of how to go about it, but figured I would discuss it here before I let her have it! When I signed on to my laptop this morning, checking email, and other sites I normally do, I found 'evidence' of my s/o's daughter having been on my laptop without my permission. For whatever reason, she knows I work full time and knows her dad doesn't buy everything in this house, she seems to think that she can do whatever because she thinks he does pay for everything around here. If it was something else in the house, I probably wouldn't say anything, however there are a few items I don't want her using without permission, such as my laptop (which I use for business too), my new printer (she has one hooked up to the desktop comp) and my camera, (she left her's in the heat, and ruined it, mine is a bit more expensive than her's was). So, I can either tell her dad about it and confront her myself (I'm sure she'll try to deny it) or I can let him confront her about it. Which would you do? By the way, she is 14 and we've been together 3 years (not that that makes much difference concerning this issue). So, what is your opinion?

Back online, and other stuff...

Yay, I have a computer! So I should be back to posting regularly again soon. For those who have sent me messages, I'll get back to you in the next couple of days, but I'm a little swamped at the moment trying to catch up on things.

Right now things are still pretty crazy around my place. We're still working on coming to terms with my son's epilepsy diagnosis, and just this morning he had a rather bad seizure. Plus I'm having to look for a job, because I have one more day I can miss at the bank for an entire year before they fire me. Bleh. I'm annoyed over that, because I really like my job, but while the local people have been very understanding, they have to follow company policies.

So that's pretty much where I'm at for the moment. I'll try to get back to everyone who replied to my other discussions soon!

Thanks everyone for thinking about me! *hugs*

Have you ever had a personal diary??? Do you still use one??

I did when I was younger but didnt like the idea that soemone would or could read it so I stopped. It helped me understand my feelings by writing them down though I didnt like looking back at the pages and reading what I had previously written as if I had written something when I was angry, I felt stupid thinking about why I was so angry in the first place and why I had all those angry thoughts!!
Though I did never use names when writing about people just incase my diary did happen to fall in the wrong hands!

I do use a diary that I write down my working hours and birthdays so I dont forget them! Do you use a personal diary or just a normal diary to help you keep track of your working hours and plans for the week??

Gosh, I wasn't really amused by the idea because she has so much personal stuff on her desk and it's not even funny. A few stuffed animals, tons of pictures of her (with friends and families), some skin care items and others...etc. Well, I am a contract staff and of course I wouldn't bring so much personal stuff to work. But from what I remember, when I had my permanent job, I only brought a couple of personal stuff to work. What about you?

Offline due to dead computer... and a note about Dusty

So my computer was having problems last week, and we lost a bunch of data. Now it's been determined that it is actually dead, and so I'm pretty much offline until I get a new one. Which will be early May probably. Right now I'm sitting in a cybercafe on my break from work, but I doubt I'm going to be doing that too much, so don't be surprised if you don't see me around.

For those concerned about my son, he was diagnosed with epilepsy and is now on new medication, and will be going back to see his pediatric neurologist for the next checkup in about a month. At the moment we're just happy to have a diagnosis. Thanks to everyone for the prayers and thoughts!
