Mon, 17 Mar 2008 18:02:54 GMT jovimom http://www.mylot.com/w/discussions/1145434.aspx I have been blessed that I have not been infected before now, I am online all the time so I thought I had all the protection I needed with my Norton Anti-Virus, along with Spybot and Ad-Aware, but today when I got on I automatically starting getting pop ups for various places, hollywood.com, movies.com, they are all different, so I put on my pop up blocker, ran all my scanners and found some that they quickly removed, although it took several reboots to get them removed, I thought I had them done, but I obviously do not, they are still lurking. I recently had downloaded Gomez Peer which pays you to surf the net and I am thinking that it is part of that software which was the first to be deleted off my system. Anyone have any suggestions on what I can do to get rid of this thing, it has obviously placed itself in the registry since I went through Add/Remove Programs and nothing is there and I searched all over Explorer and could not find anything out of the ordinary. This is my last hope before calling Dell and I am just not ready to face them today.
