Our last exam scheduled was Land economics where our not-so-young professor is a bookish and even get items in the bibliography part of our textbook. My friends, 7 of us, slept at the apartment of a classmate. Unknowingly, a friend just bought 7 very tiny tabs of a prescription drug so that accordingly, we could not sleep and have ample time to review. After an hour, everyone started to doze off but I tried to control myself thinking if I will give in I might not be able to wake up and not be able to review. To my surprise, I can not sleep the whole night although my friends were all fast asleep some were even snoring. Our exam is scheduled at 8AM in the morning. My friends woke up at 7AM and we were all laughing because they were not able to review, in my case, it's true I didn't sleep the whole night but nothing I read was ever retained on my mind. We left the place at 7:15 and walked off to our respective dorms. Having not slept, I felt as if I was floating on air and continued walking until I was surprised hearing the whistle of the school's guard. My God, I was at the gate in my pajamas. I composed myself and went back walking towards my dorm.
When we were in our classroom, we were all experiencing mental blockout. I concluded that that could be the effect of the tablet we took. Having able to control myself not to sleep, I still didn't sleep for two days more. Thanks God, the exam was our last, had it been the first one, I don't know what would have happened to me, I might not have failed and not graduated on time.

do you often buy over the counter medicine?

there are lots of medicine in the drug store nowadys that doesn't need doctor's prescription, medicine for fever, cold, flu and external creams are some that can be bought without asking the opinion of the expert. a lot of people are buying these drugs without seeking the advice of the doctor and self-treat themselves.

well, with the way price of everything is rocketing high i can't blame people for buying the cheapest medicine that they think can cure their illness without the help of the doctor, although i don't agree with this, a simple fever can be cured with a paracetamol but this simple fever might unknowingly be a symptom of something worse. and since we often self-medicate ourselves we fail to notice the condition affecting our health.
over the counter drugs are helpful for simple illness but we still need to consult a doctor and seek for his opinion to declare ourself really safe.

Pharmacy vs Natural cures

We all know that way to many Dr's are legal 'drug pushers" they work for the pharmcuatials (I know it is not spelled right) You go to the Dr with something wrong, he/ she gives you a perscription for a medicine to purchase, that in the long run hurts your health, so you have to get another one to help with what that one did, and so on and so on.
---------------------------
The insurance companies will pay for the pills and meds you get through your Dr. The ones that have all these bad side effects........but there are natural cures out there for everything. They are vitamines, herbs, and such, natural things that have no side effects. Many of them are very expensive.
------------------
Should the insurance companies pay for these herbs and all to ensure that we live healthy, and will help cure us and not cause other ailements that just makes them have to pay out for more meds for us? Right now, the insurance I am on does not cover these items, for me I feel that they should, we are actually putting our lives in danger using all these perscribed drugs that the insurance does pay for.
