Please pretend this is a real possibility - and, who knows, maybe it IS - and give your honest opinions. Well, HONEST but please TRY to be nice...lol!

I think we can all agree that the GOP is having a bit of a leadership problem these days, right? I'm really not saying this to put them down, I suppose it's kind of expected after losing the past few elections and considering their Presidential nominee is in his seventies and unlikely to run for national office again. I've noticed a few Republicans who have been in the spotlight and have been quite outspoken, to the point of looking very much like they're interested in furthering their political careers in the future. The ones I'm thinking of right now are (alphabetically) Michele Bachmann, Liz Cheney and Sarah Palin. I think they all could definitely appeal to the base and they all attract attention wherever they go and whenever they speak. Therefore, what would you think of the following for the 2012 GOP Presidential nomination:

Palin/Bachmann (or the other way around for all of them!) with Cheney as Secretary of State
Bachmann/Cheney with Palin as S of S.
Cheney/Palin with Bachmann as S. of S.

I don't think any of them are qualified to be Attorney General but maybe they could be Secretary of Defense or education or Energy? Maybe even Supreme Court Justice which would mean they'd be there for a LONGGG time...

What say you? Is this the ticket or what?

How dare you republicans criticize others and do not want to be criticized?

I am Christian and can tell you that one cannot be christian and be so barbaric and hypocritical! Please, stop the hate!

Philosophical Differences

I received this little illustration in an email from a friend. I pretty much agree with the message. Do you?

Philosophical Differences: $50
I asked my friend's little girl what she wanted to be when she grows up. She said she wanted to be president of the United State some day.

Both of her parents, liberal Democrats, were standing there, so I asked her, 'If you were President what would be the first thing you would do?"

She replied, 'I'd give food and houses to all the homeless people.'

Her parents beamed, and said, "Welcome to the Democrat Party!"

"Wow...what a worthy goal!" I told her.

I continued, "But you don't have to wait until you're President to do that. You can come over to my house, mow the lawn, pull weeds, and sweep my yard, and I'll pay you $50.

Then I'll take you over to the grocery store where the homeless guy hangs out. You can give him the $50 to use toward food and a new house.'

She thought that over for a few seconds, then she looked me straight in the eye and asked, 'Why doesn't the homeless guy come over and do the work, and you can just pay him the $50?'

I smiled and said, "Welcome to the Republican Party."

This was a very powerful image on the front of their website.
The problem is, this photo was doctored. What do you think about parties doctoring photos to show the imagies that they dream of?

Democrat Rep. Does anybody believe the timing of Palin's announcement comes at too convenient a time? Did the Republican Party help set this up to distract from other major issues facing the party? The bad press from South Carolina and negative publicity from fighting against "popular" enviromental and health care reforms have been hurting the Grand Ol' Party, already on the rocks from infighting and election upsets.

It was perfect timing for a high profile story to steal the front pages with a positive story about Palin "not wanting to waste taxpayers money" while she determines her next step. It gives the Republican base a nice "warm fuzzy" moment while distracting from all the rest. Given the set-up that she has already been "put upon" by the "nasty liberal media", the Republicans can spin any attacks on her strange decision as just more bashing.

I can't believe her decision is having a good reception in Middle America, where people will just see this as quitting on a promise to her state, but if the RNC nudged her toward this decision, they could have offered support to get her back on track for the White House in 2012. This would also explain the few Republican campaign managers who have applauded her move when every other campaign "expert" has been either in shock or completely bashing it.

Bet there's no paper trail either. Guess we'll never know for sure. Oh yeah, maybe her next memoires!

Sarah Palin is Resigning in a months time

Why would she resign so early in her term! I have heard before with how much he was involved in decisions while Vice President it seemed like he was more the President than Bush. One thing I did like about Cheney is when somebody was trashing him in front of a whole audience he said something I probably should not repeat on Mylot. Let me just say in another way he told the guy to go stick it but in a more vulgar way but the person had it coming in my view and Cheney said it with no regrets.

What Political Party Do You Belong To Or Align Most Closely With?

I make it no secret that I voted for McCain in the presidential election. But these days, I don't really consider myself a Republican anymore.

Lately I've been considering about joining a third party. These days I think I actually fit better with the Liberterian Party and I've been thinking about becoming a Liberterian.

What about you all? What political party do you belong to or support the most? (Obviously no one party will fulfill everyone's beliefs or whatnot).

It is almost Tea Time

Well we less than 24 hours away from the Tea Parties. I am exciting to see that it has grown so big. It is nation wide. Fox news will be covering some of the major cities that are holding them. We will have to wait and see what the other networks do (or how they spin the story). I hope there is a HUGE nation wide turn out. But I also hope that they all go peacefully.

What are your plans for tomorrow? Business as usual or are you going to a Tea Party? Going to watch it on TV? What do you think will happen? Will it have the desired affect with our elected officials?
