They are like the Pats, win over chumps and lose to good teams. I think the Colts will handle them without too much trouble. Which team will win? My guess will be Colts. Your thought?

Football fans

Who is excited to watch the playoffs? So I figured I'd talk about it.I blame this mostly on all the sports writers and all the so called football experts in the world for this teams horrible play. Before the season started, they did the power rankings of all the top teams in the AFC. And the people hand picked the Chargers to knock off the New england Patriots who of course had an un injured Tom Brady at the time. They said this team wa going to the super bowl this year. And with all the talent they have on offense, they have a loosing record. Are there any chargers fans out there that are disapointed in what this team has done this year? Ladainian Tomlison doesn't have Micheal Turner to pick up the slack for him anymore. From what I hear he's not %100. I don't know if that's true or not, but I look at this team like I look at the Colts every week. As a gambler of football games you think they are going to crush their next opponent just off name recognition. But you realize that these teams are not as powerful as they were in the past.

Gambling in sports.

Recently there was an issue in the Pittsburg Steelers game last week when they played the San Diego chargers. The referee blew a call at the end of the game that would have had the steelers win 17-10 instead of 11-10. I know a win is a win, but for people who gamble, the steelers were favored by 5 points. Which means that the won the game, but they lost the point spread. From what I hear in Las Vegas, there was about 100 million dollars that was bet on that game. and over %66 of the wagers were placed on the steelers. There are alot of people who lost alot of money because of the final score of that game. I am one of them. I picked 8 games on a ticket at my job. I put my little $5 dollars on the ticket, which would have made me $500 if all the games that I picked covered the piont spreads. The only game I got wrong was the steelers game. Since they only won by one point, they did not cover the spread. being that they were 5 point favorites, they needed to win the game by at least 6 points.
It's one thing to gamble and have the team you pick play a bad game, or just get outplayed by their opponents to cost you to loose money. but it's another thing when the officials make a bad call to cost you some money. I wonder if the referee who made the bad call had some money on the game himself. Knowing that if he would have allowed the interception that was returned for a touchdown by Troy Palamalu count, he would have lost some money.

What do you think about the Denver Broncos starting off 2-0?

Okay so i'm a serious broncos fan here and was wondering if anybody out there caught the last broncos game against the San Diego Chargers. Seriously that is one of the best defense games i have ever seen in my entire life. I was most enthralled about how Jay Cutler won the game with a 2 point conversion at 24 seconds to go. Seriously, holy cow the kid had it in him but what made Mike Shannahan seriously make that call, that's just not his style at all. I give big kudos to Jay for pullin it thru but if you've watched shannahan in the past years as a coach he's more of a conservative die hard play maker than just a go for it with seconds to go kinda guy. I thought for sure he woulda tied up the game then use the whole next quarter of OT to make some serious strategic plays and really win the game. I dunno but it was crazy and i loved every moment of it, tell me what ya think. Go Broncos.

Getting Ready For Super Bowl XLII (42) on a rainy day...

We're here in San Diego, California - It would have been great if our San Diego Chargers were able to make it to the Super Bowl this year but they ended up choking and being whooped by the undefeated top team the New England Patriots which holds the NFL record of being 18-0. The previous last match again the Green Bay Packers and the New York Giants was a brawl and both teams were close for a win. It ends up the Giants got lucky during an OT pulling off the last score for a field goal kick - they won sloppy for one. Now we have the Patriots V.S The Giants this coming football game. Honestly I do believe the Patriots will win this one. The way they displayed their games having a no defeat record they really really have tough and good players on the team and a real good coach. Chances of the Giants winning is an odd one, but they better be ready out there against this tough team. If the Giants are able to beat this team they will go down in history like King David taking down a Big Goliath. They better eat their Wheaties and drink up those Gatorades for the big game.
My sister, brother in law and my nephew, niece will be down here to watch the game. Plenty of chips, sodas and pizza while the game is on. I'll keep you posted for those that might not be watching the game. Patriots will hopefully become victorious.

Super Bowl '08 Patriots Vs. Giants.

I know the New England Patriots are a team of destiny. They are undefeated and are demolishing opponents on their way to a Super Bowl championship. But will they demolish the New York Giants?

I expected the Pats to demolish the San Diego Chargers last week. They won by two score, but, it wasn't a blowout. Considering the Chargers had their star running back in the sidelines and their quarterback playing with both knees injured, the Pats barely won that game and didn't even cover the line in Vegas (which was -14). The Chargers were threatening and could have won the game at any given time during the AFC championship.

I am of the opinion that the Giants will do the same to the Patriots. It will not be one of those boring Super Bowls where the outcome is determined by halftime. Nope, gentelemen, this will be a knock down, knock out brawl to the finish. No blowouts here. The Giants will give these overconfident New Englanders a run for their money. I won't be surprised if there's even an upset (highly unlikely, but, if I were a betting man, I'd bet the Giants will cover the spread).

What's your opinion, no, not who wins! We know it's probably going to be the Pats. My question is - do you think it will be a blowout or a close game 'til the end?
