as everyday lunch time is coming, and i'm going to prepare my meal.
Today i will have "matriciana", and easy and really good kind of pasta.

You can use spaghetti, also if the best one is bucatini.

The preparation of the pasta should be well known, so i will give you only the sauce recipe here. You will find is fast, and easy.

for 4 people you need:
100 gr. of bacon.
1 litre of tomato juice, or 1 kg of "pelati".
Extra virgin olive oil.
"parmesan" cheese powdered (the italian one, not the fake ones)

Put the oil in a pan, and warm it. When is hot put the bacon, cutted in little cubes, inside the oil, and let it cook for a while (till the white part of the bacon is becoming brown). Add the tomato juice, or the pelati inside, and if you use pelati, squish them to obtain a souce.
Cook it till it will be quite dense. If you like you can add some butter in this phase, i usually do that.

Turn off the fire and let it take a rest ;).

In the while cook the pasta (the kind you like more, this souce is ok for quite all shapes of pasta) and 1 minute before the pasta is cooked, turn on the souce fire again.

When the pasta is cooked, take out the water, and put the pasta in the sauce pan, add the cheese, mix on the fire for a minute or two.

Enjoy it.

I go to prepare now... see you

I decided today to do homemade spaghetti and meatballs, and I started them this morning in the crockpot.
I was just thinking to myself how very far behind I am on everything I want to do, and have so little time to catch up, but then I remembered that I don't have to cook dinner because It's in the crockpot! All I have to do is heat the garlic bread and voila, dinner is served!
I added my crockpot spaghetti sauce recipe to my blog too, it's so inexpensive and makes so much!

Have you ever done this? It takes a little bit of work to cook all the meats and make sure that you have all the ingredients, but it sure is worth it. I think it is probably not any more expensive to just go and purchase a pizza from a shop, but it takes all the fun out of it for my family, because we get together and all of us get involved in putting the toppings on and rolling out the crust.
Do you purchase a crust mix, make your own or buy the ones that are already pre-made? What about sauce? Anyone have a good pizza sauce recipe? The girls prefer just plain tomato sauce mixed with some Italian seasoning, salt and pepper.
If you buy your sauce, which brand do you prefer the taste of?

Anyone know a peanut sauce recipe?

I LOVE thai food, and am obsessed with the spring rolls that I get at a few restaurants that are out there. They are the ones made with rice paper, have lettuce in them and are not cooked...like a salad all wrapped up! I don't know what it is, but no matter what combination of ingredients I use, it never tastes the same. Do you know what I mean? The spaghetti sauce served in restaurants is rich and thick, with a good herb flavor. Mine is always too watery, too salty, or just plain bland. I'm about ready to just ask the restaurants if they will sell me their sauce!

Does anyone have a good sauce recipe? One that tastes like an Italian Grandma made it?

Looking for a spaghetti sauce recipe...
