Times have changed with the internet and TV but libraries are still around. I have two kids and we go to the biblioteca at least once a week, sometimes twice. We did not have many restrictions regardingthe books we took from there. I loved reading Perry Mason, Earnest hemingway and Somerset Maugham. these wre the kind of books we had there. I guess that helped me become a good reader later on. I also loved the way we talked there in hushed tones about the most important things in life. And the way we stood up when our class teacher came in once and she told us that it was not necessary to do that in a library. We were supposed to be serious readers immersed in the books and academics once we were in!You have some fond memories of your school library? Then when my girls were born, our local library had a story hour for the kids. They loved going! The teacher was wonderful and she always did a craft with the kids, besides reading them a book. They loved being able to check out books each week and it was always such a big deal to pick out the perfect book. Now that my kids are grown, I don't go as often, but my youngest still loves to go to the library to see what new books come in. I think it's great that she enjoys it so much.
