Last year a woman asked the contestant to cut and style her hair like Gwen Stefani's. Well the contestant (the hair stylist) tried, but it just isn't likely that a person can give a woman platinum blonde hair in two hours when the original color of the woman's hair was black. So it didn't go well.

My mom brought my sister and I into a salon when we were very young, I think 5 and 7. She asked the woman to cut me and my sister's hair like Dorothy Hamill, the famous ice skater. Dorothy Hamill was still quite popular back then. Well when the hair cuts were finished, we did not look like Dorothy Hamill. We looked like Dorothy Hamill's brother!

Have you ever asked your stylist or barber to cut your hair like a celebrity? If so, did it work out OK? Is there someone you want to have you hair styled after? I know the Rachel cut was popular when Jennifer Aniston was on Friends.

Shear Genius, Season 2

Is anybody watching this show this season? I have watched every episode so far and one thing about it really bothers me. I am really annoyed when some of the subjects/clients/models (whatever we call the people who are getting their hair worked on by the contestant stylists) place serious and significant restrictions on what the stylists can do to their hair. For example, when the Orange County Housewives were on, a couple of them absolutely refused to allow the stylists to cut their hair at all. That does not seem very fair to the stylists. They are competing for high stakes and some of them are being given free rein by the models while others are being forced to compromise. It seems to me if the show is going to allow someone to be a subject, then they should have to agree to let the stylists do whatever they want to their hair. What does everybody else think?

I am addicted to Bravo TV

I love almost every show on that channel. Top Chef, Top Design, Shear Genius, Flipping Out, Project Runway, My life on the D-list, etc.
There are only a few I am not interested. The "Real Housewives" suck in NY and orange county. No interest there at all. And that new Million dollar listing or whatever it is called does not look that great either.
One I definatly will not watch is Date my ex. No thank you.
What Bravo shows do you watch?

What is your Favorite TV Reality Show?

Dog The Bounty Hunter, CAN OR AMER IDOL ETC...

Shear Genius -- Who's your favorite so far?

I hope you guys are watching Shear Genius! I think it's one of the better shows Bravo has had. Much better than Top Design.

So who is everyone's favorite so far?

Mine is Tabatha. I love her. I think she's great with hair and seems to do well with whatever they throw at her. Like tonight when Tyson made her choose last and she still managed to make it into the top 3. She's amazing. I think she's definitely going to make it to the very end. At least I hope so. I also love her personality. I wish I could be more like her. She doesn't take crap from anyone and doesn't care if people don't like her.

I also like Evangalin. She's so cute. I think I like that she's a small town Southern girl. I also think she's excellent with hair. Tonight she won the competition and she was using hedge clippers! That's insane! I don't think anyone else on the show could've done that well with them.

I did like Tyson, but tonight he made me angry when they were sitting around and he was asking all of them why he should let them choose 2nd. He just seemed like cocky. And the haircut he did was awful too.

So who is everyone's favorite so far? And who do you think's going to make it to the end?

What do people think about Shear Genius?

Bravo has had a reality competition for designing clothes, cooking, interior design, and now haircuts! I've been watching since the beginning and I am addicted! Honestly though, I don't know how many challenges they can think of that have to do with cutting hair?

It's interesting to watch, though. And I like seeing how there is an artistic aspect to getting a trim! What do you all think?

Shear Genius

Is anyone watching the premiere episode tonight? What do you think so far? Who do you like? Who do you hate? Do you think it will be as good as Project Runway?

So far I like the woman with the curly hair, and some other people whose names I haven't learned yet. Oops! I don't like the blonde woman who was ranked last in the wig cutting at the beginning. Didn't like her hair OR her attitude!

I really hope this turns out to be a good show!
