My tips are first plan ahead of time and make a budget for those you would like to give gifts for, find out what their interests or what they want, try to have it deliver at their doorsteps, if still you do not have ample time for shopping and you are not sure what to buy in particular then you can opt for a gift card or gift certificate instead. It might be less meaningful to them with those gift cards but at least they can buy what they think are useful than giving something that is of no use to them. So I check all papers and see who has the best deal and then take it to the Walmart. They are good about price matching. But they won't price match the buy one get one free items. That saves me a lot of time driving around from store to store. Recently I signed up for the Walgreens email newsletter. Every Friday they have a big deal that you can only get if you are an email newsletter member. Last week, they sent me a link to a printable coupon for $5.00 off my total purchase, one day only.
