I understand what he's going through right now and as for certain aspects which I can't seem to understand, well, I'm trying my best to open my mind to them. Things got more stressful for him this past weekend because I told him that I felt as if he wasn't giving our relationship much attention lately. He told me that because he knows I understand what he's experiencing right now, he's trying to concentrate on the more weighty stuff first. He admitted that he knows his shortcomings as far as our relationship is concerned and that he'll make up for it when all this is over. I told him that if that was the case, maybe it's best if I stayed out of his way for the time being. I said that because I'm not used to what's happening. Because he has a lot of things going on for him and he has a lot on his mind right now, he's not as "there" as he was before all this came about. The communication is still there although lately, all we seem to talke about is his problem. I'm trying to help him out as much as I can. I must admit, though, that I havem't faced a problem in the same proportion as he is so I think I'm overwhelmed by all...this. However, he thinks I'm just trying to make matters worse. He won't hear anything of it anymore.
