For different reasons, but mainly so tht i can spend more quality time with my daughter.. Everyone thought that i was insane and they dreaded school vacation... i never saw why... It has been a week now and everything seems fine, well today i see why some parents go insane over the summer.. the twins seem to be acting up more now that sissy is home all day, she decided that she is going to be the boss and tell the twins what they can and cannot do all day everyday. they decided that they will not nap while sissy is home , and she decided that keeping up on her chores is no longer a necvssisity.. It could be the weather.. its been raing for what seems like weeks now .. but on the other hand it could just be because i looked so foraward to haveing her home and hse doesnt want to be home with me and 2 babies all day..

what do you think about summer school vacation... time to go insane? or time to have fun and enjoy the company of your children??

do you think it is worth sending your kids to summer camps?????

now that summer holidays are coming near,it has become the norm to send your kid to summer camp.when we were young we used to go for vacations with our parents, usually we used to go our hometown, now it has become the norm of summer camps.what is your opinion????

Do you think summer camps are beneficial for children?

Do you think summer camps are beneficial for children? As soon as kids finish their exams there are so many summer camps which are organizes by schools and private organization. Are they anyway useful for the development of the children. Don’t you think kids need a break to do whatever they want in vacation without any rules imposed on them?In summer camp they will have to live under discipline and they will not have any freedom>

Summer camps are not cheap. Why are they so expensive?

I received an email from a few parents at my son's school saying that they were looking into sending their boys to a sports summer camp for four days (5th day being set aside for rain) from 8am-1pm in July and wondered whether Maddy would be interested in going too. I thought, ooh yay, why not, sounds like a lot of fun for him and I'm sure he will enjoy it too.

I went online to check the details and came across the price. $175 - can you believe it? I thought that was expensive for four days and only 20 hours in total to learn the basics in soccer, basketball, volleyball, softball and baseball. Or is the normal price? or am I getting a good deal here?. Do you think it's worth it?

I know they have to pay for the park grounds and person who is doing the camp but still, I could put him in 3 arts and crafts and doodler camps for that price lol but know that wouldn't be much fun considering he did this already last year lol

What do you think? am I over-reacting or is this the norm? Thanks for sharing.

Have u ever done star gazing?do u love it?

i love to do that...just lying on the terrace,in a beautiful star lit night..with ur loved one beside..have u ever done star gazing..atleast on summer camps???how do u feel about that?

OMG she's starting full day school soon!

so, my daughter's starting a full day preschool this year (its at the same place she'll go to kindergarten & all the way through middle school if we have it our way) and my wife is really nervous about it. is there anything that can calm her down? we already have met the teacher during a few "summer camps" (just weeklong classes that were fun/educational for little ones) so we're not worried about her. I think my wife is just experiencing empty nest syndrome or something... has anyone else had this problem? what did you do about it? I think my wife is planning on going back to school, but we'll see what happens there. maybe *I'm* the one that should be more worried? advice?

Summer plans

What do you do with your kids during the summer if you are a working parent?Do you send them to summer camps?or summer school?I have just recently taken a job that starts full time in 2 weeks but with 3 kids its going to be a struggle. My aun usually keeps them for me but I am not so sure about leaving them there everyday-all day.I will be hopefully taking them on vacation sometime in the ending part of August so its just about 5-6 weeks that has me concerned.

summer camps !!! Do you remember them!!!

I remember when I was younger that I went to camp almost every summer with my friends church. We went together. My step dad took us and dropped us off and her parents picked us up and drove us home. LOL!! I went with her until I moved to Md. Then she continue to go and ended up doing the counsoler thing in the summer.

here is a link to the camp I went ..

I went for the advanced horseriding and the very last year we went on a trail ride around the alleghany mountain that was such a blast. I so miss doing stuff like that .. So I was looking at the site to see who I can send this year seems my katie would be the only one but now I need to come up with 403.00 for her to go if I send her. So I'm off to email them about fund raising to get a lower tuition becuase I know that is what we did. LOL!!!

Are you sending your child to a summer camp this summer? If so what kind are you sending them to? Would you be willing to fund raise your childs tuition if it's to high???

Have you ever been to a Summer Camp? My niece dislikes going to school. We have to wind up stories and wow her with oodles of chocolates, before seeing her off. She is very intelliget.Once when we got her to a summer camp, she was only too happy .She prefers studying amidst nature.I think alternate learning process, helps the child remember their lessons with ease i na more relaxed atmosphere. They learn to visualise things and incorporate the minutest of details in their work.
