Are they starting an army? Need an ump for a baseball game?

They are doing a huge disservice to their children. The older ones raise the younger ones basically. Let kids be kids. These people are amazing that they can handle a family of that size, but, will it ever stop?. The Mom is in her 40's, and is she going to contine to have babies until menopause? Isn't there a point where women should stop having babies? Especially when she has 19 already. What do you think of someone having 19 kids?

Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar..... Family

If you watch the discovery channel or the discovery health channel at all, then you will be completely familiar with the Duggar Family. On August 2, 2007 Michelle Duggar gave birth to her 17th child. Yes you read right, 17 children. The Duggars have gone through an estimated 90,000 diapers, and Michelle has been pregnant for 126 months — or 10.5 years — of her life. And They say they are not finished yet. Can you imagine?

Now you might ask Why? Why would a couple at 39 years of age continue to pop out a child a year nearly for the last 2 decades...Jim Bob who is an aspiring republican senator says "We both just love children and we consider each a blessing from the Lord. I have asked Michelle if she wants more and she said yes, if the Lord wants to give us some she will accept them."

So what are your thoughts about this kind of hysterical mass producing of baseball teams? Is Jim Bob and Michelle really inspired saints, on a mission of God to fulfill the biblical command to go forth and multiply, or are they mad hatters who are in need of birth control and psychiatric care?

What do you think of them? Some people say it is like a cult, but I disagree. Some people say they feel sorry for the children, but I admire them and love the old fashioned values they are teaching the children. I wish I could have had a large family like them.

A Very Duggar Wedding

The oldest Duggar child, for those of you who don't know who the Duggars are, they are that religious family with seventeen kids ad one on the way who is always on Discovery Chanel, got married to sweetheart Anna Keller in 2008. Josh seems like a very nice young man and Anna seems to love him. I watched the end of their special however, and was a little perturbed. First of all, apparently Anna was never in charge of herself and was never supposed to be. According to her dad, the authority over her transitions from him to Joshua on the occasion of their marriage. What decade is it? Secondly, Anna is supposed to yield to Josh's authority "to the extent that it is healthy" I suppose that they had to put that in there because too many conservative men thought that having this authority meant that you could beat your wife or order her to murder someone for you and expect to be obeyed. Again, I'm sorry, what decade is it? The last thing I found weird was that they were in to letting God determine how many children they will have. I understand that not everyone agrees with the practice of birth control, however I wonder if practicing the rhythm method goes against their belief system to.

As I said before, Josh and Anna seem very much in love from what I can gather from the TV. But I wonder how much choice they really had in picking each other, or did their dads do it for them? What do you think? Were you creeped out by this special too, if you watched it?
