I have only played using Yamaha, Roland, Korg, and Technics keyboard. All of them certainly have unique features, pros, and cons.

I prefer Korg for a Synthesizer since Korg is very great at mixing sound together (I have used Triton). For an Arranger Keyboard I certainly prefer Yamaha keyboard. New Yamaha keyboard are developed with great technology, they offer so many creative style and sounds. Recently I am using PSR S900 series, it's a very great stuff. For Roland brand, I don't really like newer Roland brand since they are a bit difficult in operation and the sound quality is below Yamaha keyboard in average for keyboard with same price range.

What about you? Which Keyboard brand do you prefer and why do you prefer it?

How does one, midi record in Cubase VST...the "simplest" method please?

Does anyone out there know or can give me the "quick and simple" version, on how to set-up and midi record in Cubase VST 5? I'm having a heck of a time figuring out all of it's menu perameters. I have recorded 5 midi tracks on my Yamaha keyboard, and would like to be able to edit these in Cubase. Yes, I know the keyboard can be used as a midi controller, but that requires me to play & record at the same time. I just want to upload my midi songs, edit them, and then play them back in Bandstand. If Cubase VST is to old a version for Windows XP, then please let me know of a sequence editor that would be compatable. Cakewalk is even more a bit too obtrusive for me to understand, and an updated Cubase program worth approx. $800.00, is something I can't really afford right now. Any musicians out there with a flair for genius? Warmest regards...
